Kristina here with another floral card featuring Together We Bloom Clear Stamp Set.
I’ve started by stamping the flowers from the Together We Bloom set on white card stock with VersaMark ink with gold embossing powder and colored all the images using Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens and fussy cut all the images.
Next I used the largest frame from the Darling Ribbon & Dotted Frames and used Mandala stamp to create a background. First I made the impression in the center with light grey ink, then used masking and made impression on the sides.
I’ve added the sentiment Together We Bloom in black ink and arranged all the images in the center in the shape of bouquet. Using foam tape I’ve adhered everything together and attached it to a white card base, the card base turned out slightly larger than regular 4.25 x 5.5 inches.
To finish off the card I’ve added a few embellishments. This card turned out to be very gentle and elegant, and just incredibly shimmering in the light.
Thank You for stopping by, have a crafty Sunday!
I’m currently in Columbus, Ohio. Attending Simon Says Stamp CREATE event. I’ll be back on Monday maybe with little story about how it went. But don’t quote me on this, I took my cameras and planned to film the event. But the schedule seems to be busy and I’m not sure how this will turn out. Maybe I’ll do Instagram stories at least. If you’re interested – here is my Instagram.
I liked Mandala Clear Stamp Set when first saw it. But at first I didn’t see many different ways it can be used. Now I feel like it never leaves my “working basket” (it’s a paper tray basket I store stamps and dies that are currently in use).
Today I want to share one more fun way this stamp can be used.
Any similar background stamp (or even smaller stamps stamped all over the background) can be used to achieve the similar look. If you don’t have any stamps like this you can just ink the background using inks of two shades.
Then I let my background dry and started gold embossing.
First I embossed mandalas several times. For them I used double embossing, Hero Arts gold powder first and Ranger Gold Tinsel was embossed at top (it has glitter particles and adds some dimension and shine). As usual I used my anti-static powder tool before embossing to eliminate static that can cause embossing powder to stick where I don’t want it to be.
I always use this tool to get cleaner embossing. But sometimes still could get powder stuck in inappropriate spots. In such cases I remove excess using small brush.
For this card I didn’t care about removing any excess. As it just added to the scratchy background.
After I embossed mandalas I added center parts of them in between. I was simply stamping with Versamark ink, pouring powder and removing everything beyond center element with brush. After that I was going ahead and heat set it. For these smaller elements I only used plain gold powder.
Then I started struggling with a sentiment. I didn’t want to introduce any other colors to my card. Besides any other color seemed not working here (I tried white and black). I could just gold emboss a sentiment onto the panel but I wanted something more interesting.
Lastly I added several gold sequins for additional shine 😉
I really like how this card turned out. This mandala embossed in gold looks amazing. Plus – I really like such grungy backgrounds 😉
Have a wonderful day!
Hello, Erica on the blog today with a couple of cards for you.
I decided to use the Elongated Dotted Hexagon Creative Dies and use some lovely patterned paper I had on hand. I have previously made a similar card which you can find here if you wanted to check it out. For this card I decided to go in a slightly different direction and not fill the entire card panel with my ‘quilts’.
Purple isn’t a favourite colour of mine but I am in a bit of a ‘challenge myself’-mode recently and decided to go with that for my main colour. A glutton for punishment maybe but eh, I’ll take one for the team.
After cutting out the pieces with the die in the patterned paper and also some in a purple linen textured card stock, I set about layering them and adding foam to the back to raise them up from the card base. My original plan was to just make one card but I had so many left over piece of the patterned paper, I cut out a few more hexagons in the purple linen card stock and puzzled them together too.
For the first card I decided on a purple card base and having the hexagons with the patterned paper on the outer edges for a nice contrast. I stamped up a couple of the cuddling foxes from the Foxes stamp set, one with an outline and one solid image. The solid image I added a little bit of Copic colouring to give them cheeks and pink ears.
In the same patterned paper I also cut a banner using the die in the Darling Ribbon & Dotted Frames set and stamped ‘Happy Birthday’ from the Birthday Lions stamp set on it. Both the foxes and the banner were attached to the card using foam tape. I also added some sequins from the Majestic Fusion to the card but it still looked like it needed a little something else. I know, I know… Miss Take-It-Too-Far-With-The-Embellishments goes for the win again! Well, on that note, I cut out a few hearts using the little heart die in the Stitched Nested Notebook set. One in the patterned paper and one in the purple linen card stock. On these I stamped the ‘HB2U!’ sentiment and the number 3 on and attached to the card with foam tape again but I added some silver string to make them look like balloons. At this point I finally stepped back and let the card be. I know, f-i-n-a-l-l-y right??
On to the second card! I coloured in the outlined fox I stamped up earlier using my copics and then fussycut the image out. For this card I had hexagons with the purple linen card stock on the outer edges and as the other card looked lovely with the contrast, I cut out an A2 panel in the patterned paper using the die in the Darling Ribbons & Dotted Frames and adhered that to a card base. While I was on a die cutting mission, I also cut out a banner in the same die set but this time in the purple card stock.
On this one I stamped ‘Welcome To the Family’ from the And The Fox Says set, I also added a little heart for a sweet touch before adhering it to the card with foam tape. I didn’t want to go overboard with embellishments on this card (shocker, I know. Are you sitting down?) but I did add a few little Clear Heart Drops with Multi Medium Matte.
Phew… if you are still with me, bravo! I admire your stamina 😉
I will sign off now but don’t worry, I will be back before you know it with more cardmaking mischief and jibber-jabbering. Until then, happy crafting!
Today I have Birthday Bow card and a tag to share with you. For this set, I used Darling Ribbon and Dotted Frame and Dotted Shaker Tag for all die-cut elements, as well as Sweet Heart Candy and Lion Birthday for the stamping.
To start off my card I cut the card base and a center using Darling Ribbon and Dotted Frame die from Strathmore Smooth paper. Also, I cut a Dotted Shaker Tag from the same paper. For the bows I used a bow die from the Balloon die set and bright blue glitter paper I picked up last weekend at Michael’s.
I decided to add some interest to the background of the card and a tag and stamped them using sentiment elements from Sweet Heart Candy and Lion Birthday and Wplus9 Fairy Dust ink. I did finish my card very quickly. After the background was done I placed the center element and adhered the bows. The sentiment, which I stamped onto banner with Tuxedo Black ink adhered with DoCraft 3D foam tape.
The shaker tag needed a bit more attention. But, because I used a white sticky foam for the backing, it wasn’t so frustrating and messy. I cut the window tag from paper, acetate, and foam and stuck them together using strong double sided scor-tape. For the shaker tag filling, I went with Studio Katia amazing Crystal Rainbow beads and Iridescent Fower Confetti. Such a superb colors!
Lastly, I added the cord and bow to finished off my tag.
Think they look pretty cute and would make a beautiful present for someone.
Thank you for stopping by!
Have a wonderful day!
Hi there! Svetlana here and today I have a floral project to share featuring the Together We Bloom and Thank You So Much stamp sets.
I wanted to created a large bouquet of peonies. I’ve stamped the largest peony from Thank You So Much set first, used masking and stamped all additional peonies from Together We Bloom. These two sets are meant to be used together. I used copic markers to color the flowers and added the sentiment.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Happy Friday Everyone,
Olga created this fun birthday card combing the Hello Alice and Birthday Lions Clear Stamp Sets.
Birthday banners and hats are from the Birthday Lions Set. The background was created with distress inks.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!
Liliuska here and I would like to share with you two thank you cards. I love creating black cards using heat embossing and coloured pencils. They have nice elegant look. And today I made two cards for your inspiration.
And even though you do need some time for stamping, heat embossing and quick colouring, I would say that these are pretty quick cards to make if you need to make something for next day.
For the first card I used white pencil and added some details and shadows on the flowers and around the sentiment. I love adding little touches and here I decided to use some drops and white sequins. It makes cards look more interesting.
For the second card I decided to use red pencil and lightly colour flower petals with it. I also added a bit of white shadow around the sentiment to imitate writing on a blackboard.
Hope you will get inspired to create cards with beautiful StudioKatia products. Share your work with us!
Have a wonderful day!
I know that we still have more than two months of school ahead. But I think it’s time for me to start getting ready. Looks like the end of the school comes unexpectedly for the last 8 years of my school mom carrier :). I have already decided on the gifts and as you see, started making cards.
How I love the Teacher’s Apple stamp set. Such adorable images and many great sentiments!
I started off my card from making a bright background using a piece of Taylored Expressions Rainbow Brights pad. Then I die cut a tag with Neenah Solar white cardstock and Studio Katia Dotted Shaker tag.
Then the image. I stamped a crayon with Versafine Onyx Black ink into a piece of Ranger Watercolor paper, colored it with Zigs – 024, 025, 050, and fuzzy cut.
To finish off my card I adhered the crayon with 3D foam tape and added the sentiment from the same stamp set. Hemptique natural bamboo cord I added at the end.
Hope you enjoy!
