Floral Thank You with Kaja

January 25, 2018 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Floral Cards, Thank You Cards

Hi there,

It’s Kaja from Kajcyika crafts and since Studio Katia has so many gorgeous flower sets I decided to make another card using one of them! : )

Take a look:

If you know my cards, then you probably know that I just love any type of coloring.. So, I started making this card by coloring these gorgeous flowers from Blooming bunch stamp set. For me, watercoloring is the easiest way to color and today I used ZIG watercolor real brush markers and a water brush.

After I colored the flowers, I decided to use the Loops die for the background. I die cut the loops in white and then did some inkblending behind them. I used distress inks and this time I went with Dried marigold, Spun sugar and Picked raspberry colors.

Next, I decided to cut my colored blooms in three pieces. I got one big piece with two flowers and two small ones that each has half of the flower. Then, I glued down the small pieces first directly on the loops and after that I poped the big two flowers up with some foam tape.

Next, I die cut a Thank you sentiment from Mini thank you die set. I used a black foam under the black card stock and glued everything on the card base with some liquid glue.

The only thing left to do was to glue the loops on the card base and the card was all finished.

That’s it for today! Thank you so much for joining me! See you next time.

Blooming Bunch Note Card with Erum

Studio Katia Blooming Bunch Watercoloured by Erum Tasneem | @pr0digy0

Hello friends! Erum here today. I have a small note card to share with you using Blooming Bunch Stamp Set.Studio Katia Blooming Bunch Watercoloured by Erum Tasneem | @pr0digy0

I stamped the image twice onto watercolour paper with versamark then heat embossed it in white. I didn’t mask anything. Both the stamped elements do overlap but it is not that noticeable since I added one colour to the area so it looks like it’s part of only one flower.

I used liquid watercolours and distress stains to add colour to my stamped image.

After my watercolour was dry, I cut out the image leaving a white border. I then adhered it to the lower edge of my front panel with foam tapes.

Then I went ahead and added splatters of similar colours to the leaves.

Guest Designer | Five Cards with Jacquie

January 21, 2018 / CATEGORIES - Birthday Cards, Cards, Floral Cards, Guest Designer, Thank You Cards, Valentines Day Cards

Hi there crafty friends! Jacquie here from The Big Reveal. I am so pleased to be this month’s Guest Designer for Studio Katia. I pretty much fell in love with Studio Katia with their first release! I love all their unique creative dies, the flowers, and of course, adorable Kobi!

I have made 5 cards for todays post, so sit back and maybe grab a cuppa something warm and enjoy!

My first card uses the beautiful Blooming Bunch stamp set and the awesome Dotted patterns: Scallop frames creative die set! I stamped the floral bouquet on watercolor paper and white heat embossed it. I used watercolor paints to color it. I then used the creative dies on the panel. I cut it out twice and raised the frame to give it more dimension. I stamped the sentiment on a piece of vellum and then adhered the bow to it, and stuck it to my card. I finished it off with some gorgeous crystals from the Cupids Kiss Crystal Mix.

My second card is a fun Valentine’s themed card using the super adorable Kobi’s Hugs and Kisses stamp set. I stamped the images on smooth white cardstock and colored with Copic markers and cut them out. I used the Dotted patterns: Loops creative dies on a piece of warm gray cardstock. I punched out all the circles, but then put a few back in for added interest. I gently blended some soft pink ink on the white card panel. I mounted the die cut piece over the card panel and adhered my Kobi bear to the front. I stamped HUGS in the center of the heart. I finished off again using crystals from the Cupids Kiss Crystal mix.

This third project is possibly my favorite! I stamped the lovely florals along the left edge and bottom of an A2 sized card panel, and then I stamped a few extra on another piece of cardstock. I colored these using Copics, but as you can see, I did a different type of coloring…just some lines highlighting, I didn’t color and blend the whole flower. I wanted it to have a unique look to it. I blended a bit of pale pink ink along the edges here and there. I took the Stitched creative windows die and placed it over my colored piece, and cut it out. I lined up the cut out pieces below, and mounted it using foam tape, making a shaker card. I filled the shaker with the Majestic confetti. I cut out the extra flowers I stamped, as well as the greeting and mounted them on the top of the shaker.

This 4th card uses the gorgeous and unique Floral trimmings set! I love to color with Copics so I stamped this several times and colored them all a bit differently. For this card, I cut out the floral image and set it aside. I then stamped the same image along the bottom of a folded note card in a pale ink. I mounted my colored and cut piece on the note card. I stamped the greeting and added some pretty sparkly sequins from the Crystal clear sequin fusion pack. I love how they picked up the purples and blues!

My final project features a die set that I was so excited to get! I cut out some thick watercolor paper using the Dotted Patterns: Fancy Square die. Then I cut another watercolor panel down and smooshed it in some watercolor paint and set aside to dry. I used the Floral Trimmings Copic colored piece I had left from the last card to fashion a little border along the inside of the frame. I stamped a greeting from Blooming bunch on the watercolored panel and adhered the frame using foam tape. I had originally thought I would make a shaker card, but decided to keep it simple and just adhere a few Iridescent Crystals to the card to finish it off.

That is all for my projects today! Thank you so much to Studio Katia for inviting me to be their guest designer! I really love their projects and have begun collecting them all! (haha!) Have a great day!

Peace,

Jacquie

Watercolored Thank You card with Kristina

January 16, 2018 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Floral Cards, Thank You Cards

Hello everyone! Kristina here and today I want to show you a watercolored card with gorgeous Floral Trimmings stamp set.

This stamp set is perfect for quick, simple and elegant cards.
First, I stamped the flowers with clear embossing ink on watercolor paper and embossed it with a white powder. Then I slightly colored the images with my watercolors. I did not add extra details to make my card more gentle and simple.

I’ve adhered my watercolor panel to the light grey card base and diecut the word “Thank You” from Thank You So Much die set, out of white card-stock a few times to create more dimension and to make it stand out on my background.

Then I glued the sentiment to the card and finished the card with Clear sequins and Nuvo Drops.

Thank you all for stopping by!

Theme Week | Hearts/Valentines – Day 4 Floral Heart Birthday with Svetlana

January 11, 2018 / CATEGORIES - Birthday Cards, Cards, Floral Cards, Other, Theme Week

Happy Thursday friends!

Today is Day 4 of Studio Katia theme week and I have a floral heart for you featuring the Floral Trimmings stamp set. This set is so versatile, I just love it.

I’ve created my own stencil from printer paper. This was very easy to create thanks to MISTI. I’ve placed my card-stock and placed the one of the stamps. On top of my card-stock I’ve placed my stencil and stamped the image. Then I repeated the process with another side. Creating a seamless floral heart. Then I repeated the process with another side. Creating a seamless floral heart.

I coloured all the images with copic markers, next added the sentiment with white heat embossing, and added another sentiment on a black card-stock.

To finish off the card I’ve added clear drops and pink crystals from Cupid’s Kiss Crystals.

Have a great day!
Svetlana

Theme Week | Hearts/Valentines – Day 3 Floral Valentine Card with Natalia

January 10, 2018 / CATEGORIES - Cards, CAS, Floral Cards, Other, Theme Week, Valentines Day Cards

Hello, everyone. Natalia is here. Today I will show you my version of Valentine’s card in the framework of thematic week dedicated to February, 14th.

I took Neenah Environment 100 LB SMOOTH DESERT STORM Paper and cut of the workpiece. From the beginning I decided that I will make no line coloring with pencils, so my next step was to stamp Floral Trimmings set using Altenew Rocky Shore crisp dye ink pads, placing the image at the top the workpiece.

Next stage was to color with markers all the elements, to prepare them to coloring with pencils (it’s easier to me to color with pencils above markers). I took Touch Twin and Copic alcohol markers of green, beige, pink, red and peach shades. After all flowers were colored, I began to color with pencils. As usual there are 2-3 pencils (mostly 2) for one color excluding white color, which sometimes allocates glares and plays the role of blender.

After that I took the piece of Neenah Environment 100 LB SMOOTH DESERT STORM Paper, emboss ink pad and white powder for embossing and made sentiment from Best Ever and And the Fox Says sets. Then I cut this workpiece using Dotted Patterns Set – 1 frame die and stuck fun foam to it for the volume. So I did to sentiment. All the element I glued to the base of the card and decorated with Clear Round Drops – Mix.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Natalia

Theme Week | Hearts/Valentines – day 1 Floral hearts with Kaja + VIDEO

January 8, 2018 / CATEGORIES - Cards, CAS, Floral Cards, Theme Week, Valentines Day Cards

Hi there,

It’s Kaja from Kajcyika crafts and since it’s theme week I have prepared a cute card with hearts along with a video tutorial for it.

Take a look at the card:

Here is a video tutorial on how I made this card:

First, I stamped out the flowers from Floral trimmings on a waterclored paper and die cut 3 hearts out of it using a heart from Mini tags 1.

I colored all of the hearts in with ZIG markers and waterbrush. I used only three colors of markers – purple, green and dark yellow.

Next, I die cut a white ractangle using a dotted die from Dotted patterns set 1. I decided that I will put the hearts on the left hand side, so I stamped the sentiment out on the right. I used ‘I love you’ from the new Kobi’s hugs and kisses stamp set.

Next, I added the purple paper behind the rectangle to add some more interest.

The last thing I added were the sequins. This time I used the Spring green fusion.

That’s it for today! Thank you so much for joining me! See you next time.

Floral Trimmings With Tracy

January 4, 2018 / CATEGORIES - Cards, CAS, Floral Cards, Hello Cards

Happy New Year everyone ! I hope you all had a lovely festive season.

For today’s card I wanted to share a card I created using the Floral Trimmings Stamp Set.

This set is utterly gorgeous and so versatile. I wanted to show that you don’t need to colour the stamped image for it to be beautiful.

I started off creating an A2 card out of Simon Says Stamp Fog card and then I stamped straight onto the card base using Clear ink and heat embossed the stamp pieces using Rose Gold embossing powder.

As you can see due to the detailed stamp they look beautiful just stamped.

I then die cut the Hello die from the You’re So Ranunculus set. To give more dimension and to also add a shadow detail I die cut one piece from rose gold card and the rest from White Neenah card. I used Matte Adhesive to adhere them together, making sure to slightly offset them to give the shadow detail.

When it was dry I adhered it to the card and used the You’re So Lovely stamp from the You’re So Ranunculus stamp set and stamped in grey under the die cut piece.

To finish off I added some Rose Gold Sequins.

I love how this turned out and it can be used for so many occasions and the colours can be changed to suit….although I am obsessed with Grey and Rose Gold together at the moment.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope I have given you some inspiration and once again Happy New year.

Happy Crafting!

Tracy

Best Sister Ever card with Olga

January 3, 2018 / CATEGORIES - Cards, CAS, Floral Cards

Hello friends! Olga Moss is here. And today I have a friendly card for my sister colored using ZIG Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors.

I started working on this project by stamping and embossing a background using Floral Trimmings stamp set  onto white cardstock with white powder. Once my background was done I colored it using the wet on wet technique. I also painted the background for this card as I didn’t want to keep it white.

Once my coloring was done I create the sentiment using Best Ever stamp set with Coordinating Dies. I’ve cut Best & Ever words many times, glued them together and got a three-dimensional inscription. This gives a special piquancy to my card.

Then I decorated the card with Iridescent Clear Crystals. And for greater expressiveness I painted the edges with gold paste.
