Whimsical Town with Svetlana

April 24, 2018 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Shaker Cards, Thank You Cards

Hello everybody! Today I have a shaker card for you.

To make the card I used Whimsical town stamp set. First, I cut out a circle window in a white panel using a die fron Dotted patterns: Fancy Circle. Next, I stamped some houses on the panel with the window and the card base, so that half of tge house would be on the panel and half of it inside the window.

I colored houses on the panel with distress inks and left everything inside the die cut window black and white, except for the tiny heart balloon. Next I’ve put a circle shaker together filling it with different sequins, beeds and confetti.

Have a great day!

Citrus Trimmings with Rowena

April 19, 2018 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Thank You Cards

Hello crafty friends Rowena here with a simple thank you card using ‘Citrus Trimming‘ stamp set.

LogoLicious_20180412_233433

For today’s card I kept it pretty simple and straight forward. Let’s get started! I trimmed a 3 inch wide by 5 and half in length white cardstock. I colored my citrus trimming with my copic markers.

Once my image is complete, I added a grey cardstock to my panel to add some dimension. Then I white heat embossed the sentiment using the same grey cardstock.

Once all my elements are complete, it’s time to finish the card. I added foam tape to my panel and as well as the sentiment. I also added glossy accent to my citrus(it’s hard to see on the picture but it’s there). I mounted everything onto a A2 size card and added some iridescent bubbles to finish the card.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project! Till next time and happy crafting!

Hugs,

Rowena

Metallic Citrus Trimmings With Tracy

April 18, 2018 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Thank You Cards

Hello lovelies, I hope you are all having a great week ?

This week some of the team are showcasing the awesome Citrus Trimmings Stamp set. This set like the Floral Trimmings set can be used in so many ways.

I have got a slight addiction lately to using metallic watercolours, I love how easy they are to use and also the effect they give and wanted to try them out with this set.

IMG-3643-2

I started off by heat embossing the two citrus trimmings stamps onto some black card…this is not watercolour card and along as you don’t add too much water or start to blend i have found this takes these paints really well.

I used clear embossing powder, but looking at this card now I wish i’d used gold. I mixed some of the colours as I didn’t have a “true” orange type colour and once that was done I set about painting and when i was happy i left it to dry. As you can see in the picture about the shimmer you get is beautiful and works so well with the citrus colours.

IMG-3646-2

I trimmed down a piece of black card and heat embossed the “I’m grateful for your friendship” I LOVE any form of punny sentiment so had to use this.

IMG-3645-2

I adhered this all to a black card base and added some of the Gold crystals to just add a little extra sparkle.

This was certainly a fun and different way to use this set.

Have you enjoyed the teams creations so far ? What would you create with this set ? Let us know in the comments below.

I hope you have a great day.

Happy crafting.

Stenciled Background Shaker Card with Laura

April 6, 2018 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Shaker Cards, Thank You Cards

Hi everyone! It’s Laura here, and today I am back with a shaker card with a stenciled background I made using the new Confetti Creative Stencil.
To start off this card I created the shaker front: I cut some smooth cardstock using the Dotted Patterns Set – 1 Creative Dies and I blended Distress Oxide in Peacock Feathers over the entire panel. I added some water splashes for a fun look, and created the opening for my shaker card using one of the dies in the Dotted Patterns: Scallop Square Creative Dies.

For the shaker background I used the Confetti Stencil and Nuvo Mousse in Coral Calypso to create a fun pattern. I used the same Nuvo Mousse to add color to both my card base, which I cut using the Dotted Patterns: Darling Ribbon Creative Dies, and to the word friend, that I cut using one of the word dies in the Spring Bouquet Coordinating Dies. For the rest of the sentiment I used the Label Messages Clear Stamp Set and its coordinating dies. I stamped it with brown ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.

I cut a frame from brown cardstock using the Dotted Patterns: Loops Creative Dies and then I started working on the floral element of my card. I used images from the Together We Bloom Clear Stamp Set: I heat embossed them with white embossing powder, watercolored them with Nuvo Mousses in Coral Calypso and Citrus Green. I then die cut the images with the coordinating dies.
For the shaker elements I used a mix of Majestic Confetti and Crystal Clear Confetti, because I though they would complement nicely the shaker background I created with the Confetti Stencil.

And here is a close up of that pretty shaker background!

And that’s it for today! I really hope you liked this card and I hope I inspired you to create with the beautiful Confetti Stencil.
Thank you all so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Laura

Guest Designer | Flower Elf Cards with Olesya

February 25, 2018 / CATEGORIES - Floral Cards, Guest Designer, Thank You Cards

Hello! My name’s Olesya and I am super happy to be a guest designer at Studio Katia. Their products are of a very good quality and oh those sequins and mixes 🙂 one love!
I have prepared three cards using Studio Katia stamps and dies.

Using gold foil and double-sided tape I made several stripes on the card base.
I stamped a flower from Thank you so much stamp set three times to cut each layer of the flower and pop it up using some foam tape. Colored them with Zig brush pens. Die cut a Thank you sentiment with Thank you so much coordinating dies out of gold foil cardstock. Added a couple Nuvo glitter drops in Honey Gold.

I stamped the images from Thank you so much set and Friends of Winter set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink to color them in with Chameleon alcohol markers and pencils. Cut the elf apart and adhered him as if he’s a flower elf 🙂 Added a sentiment from Blooming Bunch stamp set.

Stamped the image from Blooming Bunch stamp set directly onto a card base, colored it in with Zig brush pens. Die cut a flower with Thank you so much dies, cut it apart to make it look like a bush. Stamped and die cut the elf, colored with Chameleon pencils. Added wings to the garden fairy using left overs after die cutting a bow using Fancy Square dies.

Thank you for stopping by!
Have a wonderful day!

Ombre Watercolour Background with Erum

February 23, 2018 / CATEGORIES - Cards, CAS, Floral Cards, Thank You Cards

Hey everyone! Hope you are well.

I have a monochromatic card to share today.

Studio Katia Thank You So Much Stamp Set | Erum Tasneem | @pr0digy0

I began by watercolouring the background in an ombre fashion with Gansai Tambi black. After I was done with the ombre background, I added some drips here and there to give it a more dramatic or arty look.

After the background was dry I added tons of white paint splatter.

Next I stamped the large floral stamp from Thank You So Much and shaded it with just a black pencil plus blended it with a stump. The leaves are hand drawn.

I die cut just the “Thank You” from the coordinating die set. At this point, I also die cut my pencil shaded flower.

Sweet Latte Spotlight With Svitlana

February 15, 2018 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Thank You Cards

Hi friends,

Svitlana is here today. This week we’re highlighting a very sweet and cute stamp set – Sweet Latte.

One thing which I like to do with cute stamps is to modify them. And for this card I decided to add fun face details onto card “participants”.

I started with stamping several cups, coffee-makers and saucers onto white cardstock using COPIC-friendly black ink. Next I colored them with COPICs following rainbow order. I die-cut all elements using matching dies.

After that I went through my stash and grabbed some face details from Happy Snowflakes, Smarty Pants and Teacher’s Apple and stamped them onto colored coffee pals.

I die-cut a dotted panel out of kraft cardstock using a die from Dotted Patterns: Darling Ribbon Die Set and stamped a sentiment in the bottom center part using brown ink. Next I adhered all elements onto the panel, some were adhered flat and some were foam mounted.

Then horrifyingly rare thing happened – I grabbed a pad of patterned paper (shock), choose one sheet and cut a panel out of it, which then adhered onto a white card base.

Lastly I foam mounted the panel onto the card.

Have a wonderful day!

Colour Combinations with Tracy

February 2, 2018 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Floral Cards, Thank You Cards

Hey guys it is Tracy here today sharing my latest Studio Katia card with you.

For this card I dug out one of my favourite Studio Katia Sets Thanks So Much. I love the flower in this set and also in the coordinating die set there is two sentiment dies that are beautiful. I also went with a slightly different colour combo, but one that I love- Blue, Pink & Rose gold. I love colour, but within card making I do tend to stick to similar combinations and honestly play it safe a lot of the time. Going outside our comfort zone sometimes can be not only fun. but also spark our creativity more.

I hope after reading how I created the card trying different colours might be something you do.

I stamped the flowers onto some cold pressed water color card with clear sticky ink and heat embossed using Simon Says Stamp Rose Gold Embossing powder. I then did some watercoloring using Mijello Missiongold and watered the color down quite a bit as this can be a very intense blue.

Whilst they was drying I took a piece of my minds eye paper and die cut using Darling Ribbon & Frame Die set. I then added some splatter detail and left to dry. Whilst that was drying I die cut the flowers and the Thank You Sentiment, which i die cut from some Rose Gold card. I die cut it twice and adhered them on top of each other for some dimension.

I then started to adhered everything together, I wanted some extra dimension so I adhered two of flowers using some foam tape and then trimmed off the excess flowers.

I felt the card needed some extra sparkle so I adhered some Majestic Sequins randomly using Matt adhesive.

This was such a beautiful stamp to water colour and it was so refreshing to work with a different color combination that I usually go for.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you have a great day.

Happy Crafting

Tracy

Floral Thank You with Kaja

January 25, 2018 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Floral Cards, Thank You Cards

Hi there,

It’s Kaja from Kajcyika crafts and since Studio Katia has so many gorgeous flower sets I decided to make another card using one of them! : )

Take a look:

If you know my cards, then you probably know that I just love any type of coloring.. So, I started making this card by coloring these gorgeous flowers from Blooming bunch stamp set. For me, watercoloring is the easiest way to color and today I used ZIG watercolor real brush markers and a water brush.

After I colored the flowers, I decided to use the Loops die for the background. I die cut the loops in white and then did some inkblending behind them. I used distress inks and this time I went with Dried marigold, Spun sugar and Picked raspberry colors.

Next, I decided to cut my colored blooms in three pieces. I got one big piece with two flowers and two small ones that each has half of the flower. Then, I glued down the small pieces first directly on the loops and after that I poped the big two flowers up with some foam tape.

Next, I die cut a Thank you sentiment from Mini thank you die set. I used a black foam under the black card stock and glued everything on the card base with some liquid glue.

The only thing left to do was to glue the loops on the card base and the card was all finished.

That’s it for today! Thank you so much for joining me! See you next time.
