Sequins Christmas Card

Hello everyone, Valentyna here today. It’s November and that means the Christmas marathon officially has begun :). I absolutely love this time of the year and Christmas especially.

I have a very simple holiday card to share. Simple, but traditionally elegant!

As a focal point on the card, I used a Christmas sentiment from the Origami Winter stamp set and Classic Holiday sequins. The sentiment is so elegant and classy, that I decided just to add some sequins to color the card and connect the sentiment panel to the card base. The sequins from this pack come in different colors and sizes, which allows creating colorful snowfall. For the card base, I cut SSS Woodgrain white cardstock and some red cardstock for the sentiment panel.

Hi everyone, Katia here popping in to share a quick a card. I can’t believe it’s November already time to start getting ready for the holidays.

I really wanted to create large snowflakes with Origami Winter. I used the tree and stamped it in versamark ink in a circle pattern. I used Nuvo – Gold Enchantment Powder. I just can’t get enough of these embossing powders. I love the dimension that they give.

I cut out strips from confetti pattern vellum and stamped sentiment Noel from the Origami Winter set. (the reason why I decided to go with vellum in the first place is because i got lazy and didn’t use MISTI. I had to hide a couple of imperfections. 🙂 )

I heat embossed one in Nuvo – Gold Enchantment Powder and the other in Nuvo – Glacier White Powder. Later I thought it would be a good idea to add more golden glitter powder to the edges of the vellum. I’ve added a couple Gold Foil Sequins and the card is complete.

A little gold star for the top!

Frozen Shaker Card

Hello!

Erica on the blog today with a wintery shaker card. I’m trying to get ahead with all my Christmas cards, which can be a challenge when you have lots to make. What we need is a card that is easy to mass produce but still looks like we have spent hours on it. Lots of people think shaker cards take loads of time but that doesn’t have to be the case at all.

My 8 year old niece loves Frozen and I can’t lie, so do I! We always watch a Disney movie together when we see each other and Frozen is one of our faves. She’s my little mini-me and loves crafting too so her card has to be extra special of course. The beautifully blue Winter Wonderland Fusion sequin mix just screams Frozen to me so I had to use it for her card.

I started by diecutting an A2 piece of watercolour paper and dusting it generously with my anti-static powder tool as I wanted to heat emboss one of the snowflake stamps from the Happy Snowflakes set. I stamped one of the snowflakes in three rows with VersaMark ink on the panel and sprinkled a sparkly white embossing powder all over it before using my heat gun to melt the powder.

Using the Gansai Tambi water colours I mixed a little bit of black with white to make a pale grey which I used to colours all around the snowflakes to make them stand out a little. Using the silvery white colour I filled in all the snowflakes and added a blue dot in the middle of each one, then I finished off by splattering a light blue all over it before setting aside to let it dry. If you are in a hurry, you can use your heat gun to speed up the drying process but if you are making several panels in one go, just move on to the next one.

Once the panel was dry, I die cut all the three bits of the Stitched Nested Creative Squares in the middle of the panel. On a card base, I glued down the central bit as well as the outer bit of the actual die pieces. To form the window of the shaker, I cut out an A2 piece in acetate. The ‘frame’ of the coloured panel as well as the middle part, I glued to this acetate piece. On the back, I used 4mm thick foam to raise the front panel enough to make space for the sequins to rattle around when shaken. Using the anti-static powder tool again, use all over the acetate that isn’t covered by the panel and then go around all the sides that are going to get into contact with sequins as they will stick to anything slightly sticky.

Place the panel upside down and add the sequins into the pockets created by the foam tape and once you think you have enough, glue the case base to it and make sure it really sticks to the front panel before you move it. Give it a shake once finished because it really is rather satisfying!

I didn’t add a sentiment to the front of the card as I didn’t want to cover up anything but there is plenty of space to write whatever you want inside. It would be easy enough to stamp and cut out a Merry Christmas sentiment if you feel it is too naked without one.

Hi everyone, just sharing a project created with Origami Winter Clear Stamp Set and Classical Christmas Fusion.

To start I’ve stamped the snow with white ink. Used iridescent embossing powder to add a little bit of sparkle. I cut the top panel card smaller and rounded the corners on the bottom, I used versamark pen on edges of the card and added gold tinsel embossing powder. Then I’ve added a sentiment Merry Christmas with gold embossing to a strip of vellum and adhered it to the card.

Using my MISTI I’ve positioned the tree and stamped it with versamark. I used gold tinsel embossing powder and to add more sparkle to the tree I used the wink of stella clear. Added a few sequins and the card is complete.

Hello friends,

Valentyna is here and today I have pretty Pink Christmas card using Studio Katia new Pink Christmas stamp set and Pink Winter sequins. Adore this stamp set. It’s so girly and glamorous!

I started my card off making a distressed embossed background. Firstly, I shadowed the piece of white Neenah White cardstock with Holtz Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry, and Seedless Preserves inks. Then sprinkled with a bit of water and set aside to dry. Meanwhile, I cut Dotted Shaker tag with Studio Katia die from Ranger Watercolor paper. Then I treated my tag with powder tool, stamped and embossed a flamingo on it with Hero Arts white powder. Then loosely watercolored the flamingo with Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry.

When the background was dry, I treated it with powder tool, randomly stamped many small images from the stamp set with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed them with Hero Arts white powder. Then I went with lazy shaker card idea and sewed the piece of package bag to the background, filled it with Pink Winter Fusion sequins. Shaker part I adhered to the card base. Lastly, I added tag and sentiment banner.

Happy Tuesday Friends!

Today I’m sharing my very first winter card that I made with Pink Winter and Happy Snowflakes stamp sets. As soon as I saw this pattern paper, I immediately thought PINK snowflakes.

I used two largest rectangles to create a border for my shaker. I filled it up with Pink Winter Fusion. I used a small Stitched Creative Rectangle Die to die cut the middle and stamped the flamingo with versamark and used pink embossing powder. I only used No. 25 Pink Clean Colour Real Brush to color the image.

I used MISTI to stamp the sentiments. Hello from the Pink Winter Set and Snow from Happy Snowflakes.

I’ve tried to use only pink shades.

Festive Origami Holiday Card

Hello! Anna is here today with my new Christmas card, where I played with Origami Winter stamp set. I chose red and blue palette for this card and it really looks so festive!

I started with the white embossing of all origami stamps from the set on the light gray cardstock. After this I colored them with Tombow Dual Brush Pens. Using of not-white cardstock allows you to brighten elements on the background – you can see the outer embossed silhouettes.

Then I stamped the sentiment from the same set – Origami Winter – using StazOn inks (these are better when stamping on heat embossed elements). And at the end I cut of the background with the tag die and adhered it with the foam tape to the woodgrain cardstock.

And of course I added some final touches at the end with Snowflakes and Light Blue Metallic Sequins in size 4 mm and 5 mm.

Hello Friends,

Valentyna here today and I am sharing this traditional Christmas card, I made using another wonderful stamp set Origami Winter. Absolutely enjoyed creating this card. The process wasn’t quick. I stamped many times gifts and stars with Versa Fine Onyx Black ink onto Neenah Solar White 80lb paper. Then I colored and cut every element, to be able to put them all onto an embossed white panel.

For the sentiment, I chose “happy holidays” saying from the same stamp set. I simply embossed it with Hero Arts white embossing powder on SSS black card stock. To finish my card, I added some Classic Christmas Sequins here and there.
