Beary Christmas with Kaja

November 23, 2017 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Winter Holidays

Hi there,

It’s Kaja from Kajcyika crafts and today I have another cute Christmas card for you! 🙂

I felt like our Winter Kobi wants some company, so I stamped him out along with the original Kobi from the Kobi the birthday bear set. I’ve colored both of them in with alcohol markers and added some details with a white gel pen.

Next, I moved on to the background. I used two colors of distress oxides and blend them onto the piece of square card stock. I wanted to have a bit more interest there, so I’ve sprinkled some water and white paint all over it.

I die cut a dotted square from my ink blended square piece to give it a finished look. I felt like my bears need a ground so I die cut another dotted square, this time from a white card stock, and then I used my scissors to make a hill.  Next, I glued it on the bottom of the ink blended one, so it looks like ground.

This way, I got a nice inkblended border around the main scene and I decided to pop it up with some foam tape. I also glued down my two bears on the panel in the middle. For the first one I used a liquid glue and for the second one I used some foam tape.

I’ve glued the main panel directly on my card base and the only thing I wanted to add was a sentiment.

The ‘naughty or nice?’ saying from Winter friends set seemed perfect, so I stamped it and poped it up on a little banner.

That’s it for today! Thank you so much for joining me! See you next time.

Kaja

Christmas Window Card with Laura

November 22, 2017 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Winter Holidays

Hello everyone! It’s Laura here, and today I want to show you a clean card I made with the Winter Kobi and the Origami Winter stamp sets.

To start off my card I stamped the Kobi image on some Canson XL watercolor cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black ink. I colored it with Derwent Inktense pencils, and die cut it with the coordinating dies.
I then cut my card base and the window front from some more watercolor cardstock, using the Darling Ribbon & Dotted Frames and the Creative Stitched Window die sets.

For the inside of the window I created a masked scene. I colored the trees with Inktense Pencils and embossed the snowflakes with white embossing powder. I then did some ink blending on the sky and the snow hill using Distress Inks ink in Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass. I coated the back of the window with acetate and used several layers of cardstock to give it dimension.
I stamped the sentiment from the Origami Winter stamp set using Memento ink in London Fog, and added a ribbon to the top of the window. I die cut it using the Darling Ribbon & Dotted Frames Creative Dies set and colored with Derwent Inktense pencils.

And that’s it for today’s post! I really hope you liked this card, and I hope I inspired you to create with the adorable Winter Kobi set! Thank you all so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Origami Watercolour Christmas with Tracy

November 20, 2017 / CATEGORIES - CAS, Winter Holidays

Hey guys it’s Tracy here today sharing with you some cards I have made using Origami Winter stamp set. I love the modern feel to this set and particularly love the tree from the set.

I decided to make 3 cards and colour the trees with different shades of green and also use different embossing powders…basically I had a bit of fun playing around 🙂

I started by stamping and embossing the trees onto some watercolour card. The embossing powders I used are Simon Says Stamp Gold, WOW Cloud 9 & WOW Copper.

I used watercolours and for the lighter more citrus green I used with the Cloud 9 powder, the midtone I used Copper and for the darker green I used Simon Says Gold. I did something i never do and let all the watercoloring dry overnight and I’m glad i did, because i went with a loose style they dried lovely.

I die cut all the panels using Dotted Patterns 1 and stamped the Merry Christmas from the same set and then set the panels aside.

The card bases are A2 kraft card and I stamped the tree randomly using Simon Says Clear ink (this is the same as Versamark) You could leave the backgrounds plain as you don’t see much of them but I thought this added just an extra bit of detailing.

I added some twine and a bow to the panels and adhered them to the bases using foam tape. To finish them off I added some Majestic sequins and they was done.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Did you know we have a Facebook group ? We would love for you to join us and share any of your Studio Katia creations.

Happy Crafting

Inspired Poinsettia in Blues and Greens

November 16, 2017 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Winter Holidays

Hello Studio Katia fans! I’m so excited to be joining you today with a card I’ve made using the Merry Poinsettia stamp/die set! I recently purchased a 6×6 paper pad that was full of green and blue Christmas papers and I have to admit, it’s influencing the cards I’ve made this week. I so loved that green gingham, I decided to try a non-traditional poinsettia for something different.

I cut out my 5×5 square card base, then white heat embossed my floral images and cut them out with matching dies. I used various shades of blue distress inks to color them. Once dried, I splattered them with white acrylic paint cut 50/50 with water. I cut my leaves out of an apple green cardstock and used a moss colored ink to shade them, then did a water splatter on them for some interest.

I placed my florals around the middle sized die in the Stitched Nested Creative Squares set, then glued it all down. I die cut the Merry from gold cardstock, then placed it within the poinsettias. Lastly I added some Gold Foil Confetti to add a little extra shine!

Thanks SO MUCH for joining me today, I hope you’ve enjoyed my project and it will inspire you while making your Christmas cards!

Happy Holidays card with Olga Moss

November 15, 2017 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Shaker Cards, Winter Holidays

Hello crafty friends! Olga here and I have another project to share using Winter Kobi stamp set which I decided to combine with Kobi the Birthday Bear stamp set. I love how fun they look together!

As always I started by preparing all images and background for the card. I stamped and colored bears, trees, a sleigh, a bag and a hat. Next I needed to make a card background: I ink blended it with blue and purple inks and cut a shaker frame with Dotted Patterns set. I filled the shaker with Snowflakes, Sparkling Crystals, 3MM Iridescent Veil sequins and Silver Dust seed beads. Now that my shaker was ready I could arrange and adhere all the die cut images. I stamped Happy Holidays sentiment to the very bottom of my card.

Lastly I adhered few more snowflakes and that finished up the card!

Have a good day!

Cheerleading Cookies

November 14, 2017 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Winter Holidays

Hi friends!

Svitlana is here. How is your holiday cardmaking goes? Today I want to share another idea for a holiday card which you may find interesting.

Cheerleading Ginger Cookies with Studio Katia Sweet Holiday. Card by @craftwalks   Here I made a pyramid of ginger people, like the one cheerleader teams do. On the other hand it may look like a Christmas tree. Depending what you want to see here.

To start off I stamped three gingerbread girls and three boys using Sweet Holiday Stamp Set onto a watercolor paper, using waterproof ink for stamping. And then I colored them all with watercolors (the most time-consuming part). I also stamped and colored a couple of candy canes using stamps from the same set.

I added some accents with white gel pen and die-cut all elements with matching dies.

I made an A2 card base out of white cardstock and adhered a stripe of red cardstock to the bottom. Following by white embossing a sentiment onto the stripe using stamps from Pink Winter Stamp Set.

Finally I adhered all ginger buddies onto the card forming this pyramid/tree and called it a card.
These ginger people are so adorable and lovely and look so funny in cheerleader role 🙂

Merry Christmas with Rowena

November 13, 2017 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Winter Holidays

Hello friends! For today’s project I’m featuring the very cute set called Sweet Holiday. I just love this set!

Here’s how I created my card for today. On an A2 size watercolor paper I blended Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry distress inks to create my sky. I added some clean water to create that distress look. I also splattered some perfect pearls for added shine.

I colored the images with copic markers and cut them with coordinating dies. For the hill I added a bit of Peacock Feather distress ink to make it look like snow. I adhered all images with foam tape and heat embossed the sentiment in silver to finish the card.

Hope you enjoyed today’s project and I look forward to sharing many more with you soon!

Hugs,
Rowena
