Hello crafters! Olga Moss is here. I made a Christmas card to share with you today. I played with three stamp sets: HAPPY PAWLIDAYS, SNOWFLAKES and POINSETTIA BORDER. When I saw these sets I thought it would be perfect to combine them together.
I stamped the super fun pet gang with gifts from the HAPPY PAWLIDAYS stamp set twice: on a piece of cardstock and the masking paper to cover my image while I work on the background. I ink blended the background with red, pink, green and yellow shades of inks. I also stamped a lot of snowflakes from the SNOWFLAKES stamp set. To add more texture I splattered the background with gouache.
Next, I removed the masking paper from the image and colored the animals. I also added heat embossed sentiments from the POINSETTIA BORDER in gold. I love these large holiday sentiments. I think they create a special festive mood on the card.
Next, I die cut out a slimline card panel using large rectangle die from the DOTTED SLIMLINE SET 1 and foam mounted the panel onto the light grey card base. To embellish the card I used SCARLET RED CRYSTALS.
