Hi everyone! It’s Laura here, and today I am going to share with you an easy and fun ocean themed card, featuring the Under the Sea stamp set. There is also a video tutorial at the end of this post, showing you the entire card making process!
To create a quick ocean background I used shimmer powders on a sheet of watercolor cardstock, that I had die cut with the Darling Ribbon & Frames dies. I used Atlantis Burst, Blue Blitz and Solar Flare.
For the card front, I die cut some white cardstock with the Darling Ribbon & Frames dies first, and then I die cut two openings with the Scallop Oblong dies.
The images I chose are from the Under the Sea stamp set. I stamped them with black ink on Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock and colored them with Spectrum Noir markers. I then die cut them with the coordinating dies.
Once the background was dry, I added some extra texture and shimmer with Nuvo Glimmer Paste in Moonstone and the Brush Stroke Waves stencil. I glued everything to a top folding A2 card base, raising the front panel and the sea creatures on one layer of foam tape.
To finish off the card, I glued some iridescent bubbles on my card front – these were just the perfect embellishment for my ocean themed card!
As I mentioned at the beginning of the post, there is a video tutorial for you, showing how to create this card. And don’t forget to subscribe to the Studio Katia channel for more inspiration!
Thank you all so much for stopping by, and have a great day!
