Hi everyone, I’m quickly popping in to share a card by Kristina.
For the background I’ve stamped and colored different images. It was a little bit time consuming but so worth it.
Thank You all, I hope you had a magical Christmas. Happy New Year!
Hello, friends! Olga is here today. This is my first post on this blog and I can’t wait to show you three Holidays cards using Origami Winter Clear Stamp Set.
For my first card I used die cut Dotted Shaker Tag, filled shaker with Classic Christmas sequins fusion and seed beads.
On the side I stamped and emboss the tree. Colored it with Zig markers and cut it out. Adhered it all together and for the finishing touch I’ve added a tiny golden bell.
I’ve also made matching tags.
For my next card I die cut Dotted Frame and embossed with snowflakes. Blended it with distress inks.
For my last card I’ve stamped, colored and cut random images from the set. Blended the background with red Distress ink and added a few sequins from Majestic Fusion.
Another close up.
Thank You and Happy New Year!
How is everyone doing after the Christmas festivities? Anyone else eat too much and had shrinking powdered for the washing machine instead of washing powder?? (She asks as she’s munching on chocolate truffles whilst typing… )
We have had the worst Christmas weather ever here: gale force winds, sideways rain and freezing temperatures but no snow whatsoever. The wind was so strong the whole house rattled several times over the four days the storm raged, which made us want to stay in bed under the duvet all day. Even the dogs were refusing to go outside and that’s saying something seeing as they usually love being outside…!
The whole ‘wanting to stay in bed under the duvet’ attitude was actually the inspiration behind today’s card so let’s get to it, shall we?
Using the Elongated Dotted Hexagon dies I decided to create a ‘quilt’ by piecing different coloured pieces together. As I was in a bit of a lovey-dovey mood when I made this, I went for pinks. One block colour and one gingham patterned paper was used for this and I cut out all three pieces (I try to keep my dies together unless I really have to take them apart) twice in each colour. Then it was a simple matter of taping them together in a pattern using alternating coloured pieces to create the quilted look.
For the card base I used a light pink colour card stock which I cut out in an A2/5.5″x4.25″ size. Then I puzzled the pieces together to cover the card base and there was some cutting and glueing done to make sure the corners were also covered. You will only need 4 pieces to cover the whole card, with leftovers too. To be honest, you might be able to get away with just three but I have not tried that yet. If you try it, leave me a comment here and let me know how you got on!
Once the ‘quilt’ was created, I needed a sentiment and I wanted one that said something like ‘let’s stay in and cuddle’ or along those lines. I didn’t have one BUT using a bit of masking and stamping, I created my own sentiment that works perfectly! The sentiments are all from And the Fox says and it was a simple matter of using a bit of masking tape to cover up the bits I didn’t want to go on the banner (which is from Darling Ribbon and Dotted Frames) The banner itself was adhered to the card using foam tape to raise it up from the background a little bit.
I think this sort of card would work really well for a new baby card too, just use blue for a boy and light pink for a girl. With a sentiment like ‘welcome to the world/family’ it will be a really sweet card.
Well, that’s it for me for this year. See you all in 2017 for lots of new fun stuff, exciting news and announcements!!
Happy New Year and happy crafting everyone!
Welcome back!! Laurie is here today and I’m sharing a Hello card. I know winter has officially just begun and its not quite Christmas but I’m ready to put my Winter/Christmas supplies away. I’m ready for florals and bright colors!! So I did just that!!
Hello, friends! Anna is here today with my roaring birthday card made using the last November release products. Here I played with new Birthday Lions stamp set – the critters there are so cute! And easy to fussy cut, so I stamped, colored with Tombow Dual Brush pens and cut two lions – the boy and the girl. And they are here to celebrate somebody’s birthday!
For the background I cut the window on the front panel with Elongated Dotted Hexagons Creative Dies (I used the biggest size), and also blended the background under the window. And also Added three banners to make the card more festive (I added some dots with the white gel pens on them). And the lat detail – some sequins from Pink Winter Sequins Fusion.
Have a good day!
Hello everyone, I’m quickly popping in to share a card by Valentyna.
Thank You all for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
Valentyna is here with a card full of presents for you. I did enjoy creating it. Bright colors, Zigs markers, gorgeous Studio Katia’s stamps and dies.
To make a background for this card I stamped multiple images from the Birthday Lions stamp set. Colored with Zigs – 041 Light Green, 022 Carmine Red, 023 Pink. As a background is quite busy I needed something to put my sentiment. I cut Stitched Notebook tag and stamped sentiment using the elements from Birthday Lions Clear Stamp Set and Duo Talk. The little drop is Sm. Clear Round Drop.
Thank you for stopping by!
Happy Saturday everyone,
Just popping in to share a shaker card by Svetlana.
How fun is this card?
Happy Friday!!! Laurie here to share another creation with you. I know the Christmas season is upon us but boy, oh boy, am I Christmas carded out!!! I am still making the occasional holiday card but I’m quite honestly ready for the next occasion. That being, Valentines Day, of course!!
I used the Sweet Heart Candy stamp set for this card. I was in the mood for some simple watercoloring so that is what I did. I started by stamping the open heart image side by side in the middle of a piece of watercolour cardstock in Versamark Ink, then embossed it with white embossing powder. After those initial hearts were placed, I randomly stamped the same image over the entire panel (also heat embossing in white). I added some of the cute sayings that fit perfectly in the heart.
Now what is awesome about this stamp set is that the heart image fits perfectly with the heart die from the Stitched Notebook Die Set!! So, of course I had to use that too! I die cut two hearts out of the same watercolour cardstock, then heat embossed the tiny faces in silver embossing powder.
