It’s Kaja from Kajcyika crafts and today I made two pretty similar card that are super cute!
Take a look at the first one:
For both of the cards I started by coloring in the cuties. I stamped a bunch of images from Jawsome, Under the sea and Shell-ebration stamp sets and colored them in using alcohol markers. As usual I used three shades of the same color family to make a nice shadowing for each color.
Take a look at the second card:
Then, I did the background. The first thing I did was a blue ombre effect, which I made using distress inks and water to get a different intensity of colors.
Once the background was dry I used a stencil called Underwater sun rays and a white ink pad to get the sun ray effect. I must say I really love doing this for underwater scenes.
For the first card, I die cut a gray frame with a new European window die. I decided to make the image and the frame a bit off-set for more interest. Then I glued the images in using the SK liquid glue and some foam tape.
Then, I added a sentiment which reads ‘have a shark-tastic birthday’ from Jawsome stamp set which I stamped on a gray card stock. I trimmed it down to a nice strip that I placed under the underwater image.
On the second card I went with a simple ‘Happy birthday’ sentiment that you can find in Cactus hugs stamp set. I decided to use this one since it’s smaller than the one used on the first card.
The last thing I added on both of the cards were some clear drops which really bring these two cards to life!
Thank you so much for joining me!
