Now onto my cards. Yes, I made two cards but I’ll mainly focus on the second one which I think is better. But I’ll share the first one and you can let me know what one you like better!

I knew right away what stamps I was going to use. I also knew that I wanted to do some paper piecing. Love paper piecing, rarely do it! I started by stamping the pencil and apple images from the Teacher’s Apple stamp set onto a piece of plain white cardstock and also onto some scraps of patterned paper.
I made my own pencil cup by using half of the smallest die from the Stitched Nested Creative Rectangles set. I added a scalloped border on the top and a piece of patterned paper on the bottom. I piled a bunch of the pencils “into” the cup and adhered everything onto a skinny, polka dotted embossed card base.
After everything was cut and glued, I started to work on the background. I cut the notebook page die from the Stitched Notebook Die Set out of white cardstock. I have an old stamp set from Paper Smooches that stamps lined paper so I used that!
For the sentiment, I cut the “hello” from the You’re So Ranunculus Bundle out of black cardstock and stamped “teacher”, also from the Teacher’s Apple set underneath it. I foam mounted the apple and used glue runner to adhere the pencil. I added some black and white bakers twine around the top of the notebook page and foam mounted it to my card base.

The card base is made using the rectangle die from the Dotted Patterns Set 1 Creative Dies. I should also mention that I stamped the A+ in Versamark ink and clear heat embossed to give the base a little something! And of course, that apple HAD to be shiny so it got a generous coating of Glossy Accents!! I also added 3 Jet Black Sequins.
Now let me show you the card that I thought just wasn’t as cute:

Let me know what one is your favorite!!
