I started with the background. I ink blended a green background using INK BLENDER BRUSHES and added some splashes with watercolor paint.
Next, I used HONEYCOMB SHAKER DIE. I die-cut six honeycomb borders using Easy-Cut Adhesive from Therm O Web and adhered those borders onto my card base. Then, I removed the protective layer from each border so that they became sticky and covered them with a sheet of Gold Shattered Glass Deco Foil. I carefully smoothed out the panel on top and removed the film, which had already become transparent. Now my borders sparkle with gold. Isn’t it magical?
I stamped the sentiment from the PEONY TRIMMINGS stamp set in the center of the card. After my background was ready, I stamped the images from the HONEY BEES stamp set in a black hybrid ink, colored them with Marvy Uchida and Copic alcohol markers and die cut out with the HONEY BEES DIES. I foam mounted those cute bees the card base using DOUBLE SIDED FOAM TAPE – BLACK.
