Hey Friends!
I’m back on the blog today with this festive underwater birthday card!
I started out by creating the background of the card panel. I cut and scored a 4.25 x 5.5 inch card base and then placed it in my MISTI.
Using the Brush Strokes Stripes stamp set and various shades of dye inks, inked up several different stripes in the set and then stamped them down on to my card.
I then stamped some images from the Under the Sea stamp set on to a scrap piece of white cardstock and then colored them with my copic markers. I used the coordinating die set to cut out the images and then glued them down to the card.

I also glued down some Poseidon crystals for added shine and then stamped a sentiment to complete the look of the card. I then felt like the card was looking a little unfinished, so I created a frame for the card using the Darling Ribbon & Dotted Frame die set by cutting out the panel and then using my paper trimmer to cut around the inside edge where the die left an imprint.
After gluing down the frame to the card, I called it a day! I plan to give this card to my sweet mother-in-law who is celebrating her birthday very soon!! I know she’s going to smile so big when she gets this card – and isn’t that the ultimate joy of cardmaking? To spread the love!!
Thank you so much for joining me here on the blog today, and happy crafting!
