Boo-tiful Halloween Card with Dana

September 24, 2018 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Halloween, Shaker Cards

Happy Monday, everyone!

It’s Dana here and I have a Halloween card to share with you. I featured lots lovelies from our new release and let’s get started!

I began by stamping monsters from Monster Bash Stamp Set and colored them with alcohol markers. I then die cut them with Coordinating Dies.

I created background by sponging the bristol paper with Wilted Violet and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Inks using mini blending tool. I splattered clean water using paint brush and let it dried.

Then, I die cut hillside from black card stock using Trimmings Borders and mounted it at the bottom of this card.

Next, I made a fun spaceship for monsters. For this, I die cut tags with Dotted Shaker Tag 3 two times from white card stock for shaker cover and cream card stock for shaker base.

I rubbed shaker window with embossing ink and sprinkled WOW! Perissa Embossing Powder and heat set it. Then, I built a shaker using clear acetate and foam tape with Wicked Fusion. I adhered silver ribbon to a tag shaker as well.

I white heat embossed a sentiment from Monster Bash Stamp Set onto a piece of black paper and trimmed down as shown. To finish, I mounted all elements where I wanted them and embellished background with Silver Polka Fusion using Glue.

By the way, have you enjoyed our blog hop? You still have time for hopping and entering giveaways to win a 25$ gift certificate on each stop. Hope you stop by HERE (my blog) to grab your chance to win!

Thank you so much for joining me today!

I really love the monster shaker tag card that you created. The silver/gold part almost looks kinda fuzzy or furry to me. Such a great texture to put near/next to the monsters! I was originally drawn to the monster set and decided not to purchase it; but I think I am changing my mind on that purchase after all! Your background is spectacular and so are those fun dots that have dots in them! Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful card with us!
