Hello friends, Ilda here!
This week my kids went back to school, by this point I’m pretty sure they are one of the last ones to start. I’m not going to lie, and even though we had a great summer together, I am happy they are back in school and I have a little more time to myself, lol! Today, I want to share with you three similar yet different cards to have on hand for teacher thank you cards that will be given to them at some point throughout the year.
All cards were done the same way as you’ll notice but with different background colors, layout and sentiments.
The first thing I did was repeat stamping with all the Kobi’s and the apples using the stamps from the KOBI LOVES SCHOOL stamp set. I then colored each Kobi in different grey tones using Copic markers and their backpacks various colors.
I then used the coordinating KOBI LOVES SCHOOL dies to die cut the images, and set them all aside to blend out some backgrounds. For this background, I blended out picked raspberry, mustard seed, and peacock feathers oxide inks. I then toped the background using the GRID COVER die. For the sentiments, I used the SCRIPT TEACHER die and the Thanks Die from the A CUP OF THANKS dies that I die cut, stacked and glued three layers together. I then embellished the apple and Kobi’s nose with glossy accents and added some SILVER FEVER FUSION sequins to the card front.
This next card was done the same way only this time I blended the background using mustard seed and blueprint sketch oxide inks. As well the placement of the elements are centered and the apple is incorporated into the SCRIPT TEACHER die cuts by gluing it to the top of the “a”.
I also heat embossed the YOU RULE sentiment from KOBI LOVES SCHOOL in white on black cardstock.
For this last card, I was going for a fall-inspired background so used ripe persimmons, candied apple and mowed lawn oxide inks on the background.
Again I used the same SCRIPT TEACHER die stacked and the embossed sentiment from the KOBI LOVE SCHOOL stamp set.
Hope these 3 similar yet different Teacher Thank You cards inspired you today. Having these ready will definitely save me sometime throughout the school year.
Thank you all for stopping by and until next time… Happy Crafting!

Hi there everyone! Erum here. I have a fun colourful card set to share with you today. I actually made these for my nephew to give to his teachers on his last day of his current class.
I have actually “copied” one of my previous card designs and replicated the background but switched the stamps.
I started by adhering the die cut panel out of the Halftone Dots Cover Die to a plain cardstock panel of the same size. After the glue was dry, I applied watercolour to the panel and left it overnight to dry and straighten under heavy books.
I used the stamps from Kobi Loves School and used a mixed of watercolour and marker colouring to colour the images. I also added glossy accents to the balloons and the apple that Kobi’s holding.
Had so much fun making these cards and because giving these sort of handmade cards is still not as common here where I live, these were a hit among everyone!
I hope you like them too!
Thank you for stopping by.

And I colored pencils and foxes with ZIG Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor.

Hello, hello!
This week we are doing another theme and it’s ‘Back to School’. In many countries schools are starting up again and I’m sure there are a lot of mixed emotions about it. Relief, stress and excitement depending on whether you are a student, teacher or parent.
When I first joined Studio Katia’s design team I made a card with the Teacher’s Apple stamp set and I thought I’d CASE it for today’s post. Naturally I can’t find the blog post nor a single photo of the card itself so you are gonna have to trust me when I say it looked something like this:
The original might have had a few more apples on it and I think more of them were red but for this one I went greenish.
I stamped up the apple from the stamp set several times directly onto a white water colour card stock panel, using Moss Green distress ink. To colour them in I used Kuretake Gansai Tambi 36 pack water colours. I blended some yellow shades with a couple of greens and added both orange and red to create different shades on their peel.
One single apple I stamped on a separate piece of card stock and fussy cut it once it had been coloured and left to dry. This I added to the pile of apples with foam tape to raise it up a little and add dimension.
To finish the card off I simply stamped ‘You’re a good apple’ directly on the card panel in black ink. A few clear, sparkly sequins from the Majestic fusion mix were added with glossy accents and that’s that!
This card is very quick and can easily be mass produced if need be as they will need some time to dry, which gives you time to move onto the next card and so on. Using the Mini MISTI will make it a breeze to get the sentiments stamped too.
Not even I, Miss Blabber-mouth, can drag this out any further. It really is THAT simple a card.
Happy crafting everyone!
Love from Erica

Hi friends!
Svitlana is here. This week is another theme week here at Studio Katia and this time we are celebrating Back to School!
I’m a big fan on chalkboard theme in general. And when it came to creating a school themed card of course my first thought was to create a chalkboard. Which would carry a sentiment.
SUPPLIES:
Kobi The Birthday Bear Stamp Set
To make a chalkboard piece I first cut a black cardstock panel.
As far as sentiment goes I wanted that part of it to be kind of written with a chalk, and another part is written with a finger onto a covered with chalk residue area. I used Teacher’s Apple Stamp Set to make the sentiment.  For the first part it was simple – I just stamped it with white pigment ink.  For the word teacher, which I intended to have written with finger, I first clear embossed it. Then I grabbed a paper towel, rubbed against a white ink pad, to get some ink onto the towel. And then I rubbed the panel with it transferring the white ink from the towel onto it. I rubbed in different directions to mimic the look of real chalkboard. And I especially paid attention around the word teacher, to rub more ink around it and make it more stood out. Next I ironed off clear embossing to remove the relief embossing creates.
I stamped, watercolored and cut out an apple using a stamp from the same stamp set and adhered it onto the chalkboard panel. I also stamped Kobi from Kobi The Birthday Bear Stamp Set and modified it a bit by adding a hat and nerdy glasses from Smarty Pants Stamp Set as well as mustaches from Teacher’s Apple Stamp Set. Fun fact – after adding mustaches it became looking more like a dog that a bear lol. Then I watercolored it as well and cut out using scissors.
I cut a couple more panels out of orange and yellow patterned paper and adhered all panels onto a white card base crooked one along another, then the Kobi was foam mounted in the right bottom corner and several enamel dots finishing off the card.
Hope you the idea and technique I shared here. Have a wonderful week!

Hello everyone,
Valentyna here with our second post for today sharing a colorful card for teacher using a wonderful Teacher’s Apple Clear Stamp Set.

Teacher’s Apple Clear Stamp Set
Dotted Shaker Tag Creative Die
I know that we still have more than two months of school ahead. But I think it’s time for me to start getting ready. Looks like the end of the school comes unexpectedly for the last 8 years of my school mom carrier :). I have already decided on the gifts and as you see, started making cards.
How I love the Teacher’s Apple stamp set. Such adorable images and many great sentiments!
I started off my card from making a bright background using a piece of Taylored Expressions Rainbow Brights pad. Then I die cut a tag with Neenah Solar white cardstock and Studio Katia Dotted Shaker tag.
Then the image. I stamped a crayon with Versafine Onyx Black ink into a piece of  Ranger Watercolor paper, colored it with Zigs – 024, 025, 050, and fuzzy cut.
To finish off my card I adhered the crayon with 3D foam tape and added the sentiment from the same stamp set. Hemptique natural bamboo cord I added at the end.
Hope you enjoy!

Hello Kristina here!
SUPPLIES:
You’re Such a Smarty Pants Clear Stamp Set
I’ve started by stamping all the images on watercolor paper with waterproof black ink. Next, I started working on my background. I used a brown distress ink for my corners and blue in the middle. Using a clean wet brush I started coloring the images inside the lines. As you know, distress ink and water were made for each other. Once the ink dissolved a little, I used a paper towel to take the excess water off. Images became lighter and it created a unique effect. The I’ve sprayed everything with water. Once it was nice and dry I added the sentiment. Ideally, it would have been great to use a red embossing powder but I didn’t have it, so I used a clear embossing powder.
Thanks for stopping by!
