Easy Summer Card with Laura

July 30, 2020 / CATEGORIES - Floral Cards, Hello Cards

Hi everyone! It’s Laura here and today I am back with an easy summer card I created with the Citrus Trimmings stamp set! Make sure to check out the video at the end of this post for a step by step tutorial, too!

For the background of my card I used the Mini Polka Dots Cover Die and layered some white and pink cardstock. I then used the Dotted Patterns Set 2 dies to create a window in the center .

The images I used today are part of the Citrus Trimmings stamp set. I colored them with Illustrator alcohol markers and then I die cut the panel with the Dotted Patterns Set 2 dies. With the same die I also obtained the black frame, and then I adhered everything to the front of the card, creating an inlay die cut effect.

To finish off the card I added some Lemon Burst Pearls and some Ripe Persimmon Pearls, and then coated the citruses with a glitter brush pen.

Thank you all so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Easy to Mail Shaker with Laura

July 24, 2020 / CATEGORIES - Floral Cards, Hello Cards, Other, Shaker Cards

Hi everyone! It’s Laura here and today I am back with an easy to mail slimline shaker card! Make sure to also check out the video at the end of the post for a step by step tutorial!

For the base of my card today I used the new Dotted Slimline Set 1 dies. I used them to cut both the base and the window of my shaker and I then ink blended the shaker background with Distress Oxides.

I used Speckled Egg, Milled Lavender and Dried Marigold and then spritzed everything with my Dylusions Shimmer Spray, for some extra sparkle. To create some dimension in my shaker, I die cut three sheets of heavyweight white cardstock to be the same as the shaker front. I layered them together and filled the shaker with a mix of chunky glitter and confetti.
Layering cardstock rather than using foam tape will keep the shaker a bit flatter, so that it is easier to mail.

For my images today I used the Aloha stamp set, that I colored with Illustrator Makers. Here is a list of markers I used:

Hibiscus: GY2, BO1, OR1, OR3, DR4

Leaves 1: JG7, JG4, JG2, JG1

Leaves 2: JG7, AG4, AG3, AG1

Leaves 3: LG5, LG3, LG1

Once I was done coloring, I die cut everything with the Aloha Coordinating Dies.

For the sentiment I used the Trimmings Sayings stamp set and the Simple Trimmings Dies, and I finished off the card with some Neon Tangerine Crystals.

Here is also a video tutorial for you, sharing the step by step process for this Slimline Shaker Card!

Thank you all so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Video. Peony trimmings one layer coloring

July 21, 2020 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Floral Cards

Hello friends! It’s Galina with you. For todays card I used a beautiful floral stamp – Peonny trimmings Stamp set and I’m going to show how you can color them in few minutes!

How I made this caard you can watch here or on Studio Katia Youtube channel.

To create this card I cut out a two card panels using a die from Scallop Heart Cover die ( I separated those two dies). One panel I cut out from the red cardstock and second – from the white. I cut off a scallop edge from the white panel and stamped flowers on it. I color the peonies with 4 different shades of blue color. One color for the each petal. And then I covered the whole panel with a red marker.

Using Chunky alphabet I cut out a custom made sentiment from the white glitter cardstock.I heat emboss a white sentiment on the floral panel using a stamp from Peony trimmings stamp set . I masked a part of it with masking tape to stamp a phrase without word “You”.

To embellish the card I add a few clear crystals on it and small deatails with a white gel pen.

Thanks for stopping by.

Have a great day!

Clean and simple birthday card with Kaja

July 16, 2020 / CATEGORIES - Birthday Cards, Cards, CAS, Floral Cards

Hi there,

It’s Kaja from Kajcyika crafts and today I have prepared another clean and simple birthday card!

Take a look:

I started making this card by choosing the die I wanted to use and I decided to go with Elegant scalopped oval. I took a piece of gray card stock and die cut the oval in the top portion of the card stock. Then, I cut the gray paper slightly smaller than my card base to get the nice white edge.

Next, I stamped the image from Lovely blooms on watercolored paper and colored it in using ZIG markers. I used red and orange for the blooms and green for leaves.

I felt like the image was too bold for my card, so instead of using it as one image, I die cut it with the Elegant scalopped oval. Since this die only cuts the inner piece I then took the middle sized oval from Dotted ovals and die cut it directly over the Elegant oval piece. This is how I got the floral edge around the oval.

Next, I stamped out the sentiment from It’s your birthday stamp set. I decided to go with ombre look, for which I used three colors of red ink. I put the darkest color at the top and the lightest to the bottom.

It still seemed like something is missing, so I used the piece of watercolored image we colored earlier and glued some clear drops on top. I used my scissors to cut around the drops once the glue was dry and this is how I got the floral drops that match perfectly with the rest of the card.

In the end, I glued everything together using glue and double sided foam tape and the card was all finished.

Thank you so much for joining me!

Kaja

Flourishing Note Hello with Dana

July 13, 2020 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Floral Cards

Happy Monday, everyone!

It’s Dana here and I’m sharing my no-line coloring card today. Let’s get started!

To begin, I stamped Flourishing Note onto white card stock in grey using dye ink. I then colored them in with alcohol markers. When it was done, I’m disappointed with the result, so I added some details using Prismacolor Colored Pencils and white gel pen. Now I love how it turned out!

I took a metallic gold paper and die cut a sentiment from it using Flourishing Note Dies. I also die cut a colored image using same die.

Then, I trimmed down one of Black, White & Rainbow Paper Set into A2 size. To finish, I popped up colored image using foam tape and adhered a sentiment using glue.

Hope you enjoyed this card. Thank you so much for stopping by!

A Flourishing Note Hello Friendship Card

July 8, 2020 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Floral Cards, Hello Cards, New Release, Other

Hey everyone, Ilda here!

Today I am sending you all a Flourishing Hello. Love this new FLOURISHING NOTE stamp from Studio Katia, it is so pretty and it makes for such a beautiful friendship card!

CARD DETAILS

To begin this beauty, I stamped out the image from the FLOURISHING NOTE and colored it in using Copic markers. I then used the coordinating FLOURISHING NOTE DIES to cut out the image as well as the Hello die 3 times from black cardstock that I will use later on.

For the background, I first used the inside of the SCALLOP HEARTS COVER to die cut the hearts from the white panel. I then used the largest scallop frame from the DOTTED PATTERNS SET 4 to finish off the card panel.

Behind the heart openings, I glued a piece of pale pink cardstock to add another layer of color. I then die cut another layer of blue hearts using the SCALLOP HEARTS COVER to add a blue edge to the white hearts, I then popped the hearts back in place with foam tape and glued the Flourishing Card Stamp in place.

TIP: I also used the same blue cardstock piece that I die cut the blue heart edges from to glue onto the card base as the center of the panel gets covered up and won’t be seen.

For finishing touches, I added some new BLUEBELL PEARLS and then added the hello that I had stacked and glued together from the FLOURISHING NOTE DIES and then added Glossy Accents to.

Wishing you all a wonderful day! Thank you for stopping by and until next time… Happy Crafting 👋

Crafty Hugs, Ilda

Video. Full panel shaker card

July 7, 2020 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Floral Cards, Hello Cards, Shaker Cards

Hello everyone! It’s Galina and today I want to show you how to create a bright full panel shaker card using Studio Katia pattern paper that now back in stock.

How I made this card you can watch here or on Studio Katia Youtube chanel.

Card details

For this card I used a beautiful stamp set – FLOURISHING NOTE. I love the whole design of this set: beautiful flowers and amazing handwritten sentiments. The flowers have a lot of details and the perfect for full coloring or just for stamping in one color. I stamped the image with Memento black ink and colored it with copic markers:

– Red flowers: R21, R22, R24, R27

– Yellow flowers: Y15, YR24

– Blie flowers: B00, B 14

– Leaves: YG41, G07, G28

Using a rectangle die from DARLING RIBBON & FRAMES die set I cut out a panel from the rainbow paper sheet.  I cut out a thin frame using a die from LOOPS die set. I simply separated the frame die from the base with a metal snippers and now I have more options with this die set.I attached the white frame on the acetate sheet and put Crystal clear confetti on the panel and the I foam mount the frame with acetate.

I hope you like this card and you will try to create a king size shaker cards 🙂

Have a great day

You’re Sweet Card with Isha Gupta

June 1, 2020 / CATEGORIES - Cards, CAS, Floral Cards, Other

Hello everyone! Isha here with a floral card. I enhanced the soft image with a rainbow alcohol pearl background.

I started by creating a panel using Tim Holtz alcohol pearl inks. I simply took the colors (Villainous, Deception, Sublime, Enchanted, Splendor, Sail Boat Blue) in rainbow order and applied the ink to a yupo paper in swiping motion and then dabbing movement. Once I was happy with the result, I let this dry. Make a salmon pink cardbase. Die-cut a white cardstock layer using the Loops cover die. Adhere the alcohol pearl panel behind it. Stamp the sweet pea from the You’re So Sweet stamp, add a touch of color using zig clean color marker and die-cut it.

Die-cut the banner using the die from Best Ever die-set. I cut it once in white and once in the cardbase color. Stamp sentiment. Adhere the pink layer to the white by slightly offsetting it. Adhere the images and the banner. To finish, I applied a bit of spectrum noir clear sparkle pen to the florals. Thank you for dropping by! Have a nice crafty day!
