You Inspire Me Shaker by Tracey

July 22, 2020 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Other, Shaker Cards

Hi there, it’s Tracey here today and I have a shaker card featuring the Flourishing Note stamp set and Flourishing Note die set. I stamped and coloured the image with Copic markers and set it aside.

Copic Colours Used:
YG03 YG17
RV10, RV13, FV14
BV000, V12, V15, V17

To create the shaker element I die cut the scallop layer of the Dotted Patterns Set 4 dies once with white cardstock. Then I cut two layers of the regular window frame with foam foam and one more cut with white cardstock. Then I used the Studio Katia Acetate Sheets to cut a 2 3/4″ x 4″ piece for the shaker window.

I used a soft grey panel that I attached to the card base and then I adhered the white scallop frame to the panel. I glued the two foam window frames together with Studio Katia Glue and then I glued the foam window frame to the card base over top of the scallop frame.

I used my powder tool to prep to inner walls of the skaker and then added some Mallow Crystals, Rouge Pink Crystals and a sprinkle of Flowers Glitter into each of the two wells. I used the Studio Katia Triangle Trays and the Studio Katia Embellishment Wand to help manage the crystals and glitter. I attached the acetate piece to the back of the white cardstock window frame die cut and I added it on the top of the shaker with strong double sided tape.

The Flouruishing Note die cut was completed with a sentiment from the Craftastic stamp set right on the die cut envelope and it was added over the top of the frame with foam tape.

I also die cut out 2 frames out of foam in order to make a shaker. I filled it with ROSE GOLD CONFETTI, MAJESTIC CONFETTI, 3M CRYSTAL CLEAR, SPARKLING CRYSTALS, ICY SPARKLE CRYSTALS,  CLEAR DUST, GOLD DUST.

I adhered the coloured flowers on top of a shaker window with liquid glue. I die cut out the word Hello out of a golden glittered cardstock using a die from FANCY SCALLOP CIRCLE DIES and adhered it in the middle using double-sided foam tape.

Video. Full panel shaker card

July 7, 2020 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Floral Cards, Hello Cards, Shaker Cards

Hello everyone! It’s Galina and today I want to show you how to create a bright full panel shaker card using Studio Katia pattern paper that now back in stock.

How I made this card you can watch here or on Studio Katia Youtube chanel.

Card details

For this card I used a beautiful stamp set – FLOURISHING NOTE. I love the whole design of this set: beautiful flowers and amazing handwritten sentiments. The flowers have a lot of details and the perfect for full coloring or just for stamping in one color. I stamped the image with Memento black ink and colored it with copic markers:

– Red flowers: R21, R22, R24, R27

– Yellow flowers: Y15, YR24

– Blie flowers: B00, B 14

– Leaves: YG41, G07, G28

Using a rectangle die from DARLING RIBBON & FRAMES die set I cut out a panel from the rainbow paper sheet.  I cut out a thin frame using a die from LOOPS die set. I simply separated the frame die from the base with a metal snippers and now I have more options with this die set.I attached the white frame on the acetate sheet and put Crystal clear confetti on the panel and the I foam mount the frame with acetate.

I hope you like this card and you will try to create a king size shaker cards 🙂

Have a great day

Galina

Video. Shaker cups slimline card

July 3, 2020 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Hello Cards, New Release, News, Shaker Cards

Hello friends! Galina with you today. And I want to share with how to create little shakers inside of the pretty cups with craft supplies. It’s a stamp set from our new release, if you missed it you can find all information and all new supplies in this post(click). Also for today’s project I picked new slimline dies and I absolutely in love with this new card format.

How I made this card you can watch here or on Studio Katia Youtube channel.

To create a bright background I cut out a white card panel using slimline dies set 2 and I add distress inks, I applied them diagonally with Studio Katia blender brushes on a thick cardstock. I masked edges of my die cut with a masking tape to keep them white.

Inside of the two pink cups I put yellow crystals called Pineapple Delight, they look so yummy!

All my images I colored with copic markers. I colored the cups with 3 shades of the each color to create a more realistic look on them.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Hello Shaker Card with Isha Gupta

July 1, 2020 / CATEGORIES - Cards, CAS, Other, Shaker Cards

Hello everyone! Isha here with you today with a fun shaker card with no-line water color technique. I used all the products from our newest release, if you haven’t checked them yet, please do. You are going to love it 🙂 For today’s card I used Black, White &Rainbow paper, Craftastic stamp and dies, Dotted Patterns set 3 dies along with Vanilla Luster fusion sequins.

I started by creating a white card panel. I then adhered a stripe of rainbow pattern paper to the left side. I then die-cut the oval, sponged scattered straw, spun sugar and tumbled glass distress oxide to it. Adhere it to the card. I also adhered the delicate frame around the oval piece. Stamp the image onto watercolor cardstock using antique linen distress ink. I then colored the image using faber castell watercolor markers and daniel smith watercolors. Let it dry and die-cut it. Die-cut the center to create the shaker. Place the image where it will come on the card and adhere the center die-cut negative piece. Adhere a piece of acetate behind the image. Now add 3D foam all around the opening on the back side. add some sequins and adhere to the cardbase.

Stamp the sentiment and adhere to the card. To finish, add some sequins. Thank you for dropping by!

Have a nice crafty day!

Isha

Thank You Shaker Card with Dana

June 22, 2020 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Shaker Cards

Happy Monday, everyone!

How about starting a new week with a shaker card? I’m so obsessed with shaker card and couldn’t stop making them these days haha. Today, I’m back with another shaker one and let’s get started!

I began this card by creating a background. I took A2 sized bristol paper and partly stenciled it with Brush Stroke Waves Stencil in rainbow colors. I used Distress Inks and Ink Blender Brushes as well for this step. Then, I splattered distress inks with clean water to bottom of the paper using paint brush.

While it dried, I started making a shaker part. I die cut watercolor paper and gingham pattern paper in heart shape using Fancy Scallop Hearts Dies. For shaker window, I die cut white one again using another piece of Fancy Scallop Hearts Dies and adhered Acetate Sheets. I then mixed Rainbow Dots Polymer Clay, Rainbow Wheels Polymer Clay, Rainbow Loops and Sparkling Crystals and finished off a heart shaker with foam tape.

Next, I die cut ‘thank you’ from golden card stock using Mini Thank You Dies. I then mounted all elements using Glue as shown in the picture.

Hope you enjoyed this card. Thank you so much for stopping by and happy crafting!

Dana

Birthday shaker with Tracey

June 15, 2020 / CATEGORIES - Birthday Cards, Cards, Shaker Cards

Hi there it’s Tracey back here today with a shaker card featuring the Bearing Gifts stamp set.

I started off by stenciling the Studio Katia Bubbles stencil on to the front of my card base using Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink using the Studio Katia Blending Brushes. I blended the colour over the stencil the darkest in the centre getting lighter out near the edges.

I used the Dotted Patterns Set 4 die for my shaker on this card. Do you ever difficulty getting your shaker panel perfectly lined up on your card front? I tried a different method when building the shaker component on my card today. I die cut two of the Dotted Patterns Set 4 die and used Studio Katia glue to stick one down to my card exactly where I wanted my shaker to be. Then using it as a guide I built my shaker walls up using two layers of Studio Katia Foam Tape. I used my embossing buddy were within the walls of my shaker. I always seem to have static problems. I filled my shaker with Summer Fusion sequins, Crystal Stars and Iridescent Crystals.

The Studio Katia Acetate sheets are 6″ x 6″, perfect weight and crystal clear. I cut a piece to fit behind the shaker opening then I removed the baker on the foam tape and adhered the acetate on the top onto the shaker. Then I added my white top shaker piece over the acetate and it lined up perfectly because I could see where I was putting it.

I stamped Kobi bear and three balloons from the Bearing Gifts stamp set with Copic friendly ink. I cut the images out with the co-ordinating Bearing Gifts die set after I did some pretty simple one shade colouring with Copic makers. The balloons were adhered directly to the shaker and then Kobi bear and all the parcels on top with foam with foam tape.

I absolutely love my Studio Katia Halftone Lines cover die it is so clever. It cuts 13 strips of cardstock at one time in different widths but all are 5 1/2″ tall. Perfect to use for sentiment strips or they can be used to create a fun background. I stamped and white embossed the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Bearing Gifts stamp set onto a black strip created with the Halftone Lines cover die. I trimmed it down and added it to the card with one layer of foam tap.

TIME SAVING TIP: I used the Halftone Lines cover die to cut one panel of white and one of black giving me 13 sentiment strips in each colour. I just popped them in the package with the die so I have some all ready to go when I am creating cards.

Thank you so much for stopping in today to create with me. Hope you are staying well and have a great week ahead.

Let’s Shell-Ebrate with Dana

June 10, 2020 / CATEGORIES - Birthday Cards, Cards, Shaker Cards

Happy Wednesday, everyone!

It’s Dana here and I’m sharing a birthday shaker card with you today.

To start, I die cut square panel from bristol paper using Nested Squares. Then, I ink blended it slightly with Distress Oxide Inks using Ink Blender Brushes. Detailed colors are Cracked Pistachio, Evergreen Bough and Peacock Feathers. I then stenciled square panel again with same Distress Oxide Inks using Brush Stroke Waves Stencil.

Next, I created a seashell shaker window by die cutting with Seashell Shaker. I die cut seashell one more time from gold card stock as well. I mounted outline pieces of seashell, after I adhered Acetate Sheet.

I then mixed embellishments for shaker. I used Rainbow Loops, Rainbow Hearts, Speckled Sprinkles, Silver Fever Confetti. With these lovelies, I finished off my shaker using foam tape.

For sentiment, I silver heat embossed Shell-Ebration and die cut it using Best Ever Dies. As a final touch, I adhered crystals here and there as shown in the picture.

Hope you enjoyed this card. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Simple Happy BEE-Day Shaker Card

June 8, 2020 / CATEGORIES - Birthday Cards, Cards, CAS, Shaker Cards

Hello, my Friends and Happy Monday!

Today I am sharing a super simple shaker card that could be used for any occasion depending on the sentiment you chose, this one will be for someone’s BEE-day!

CARD DETAILS

To begin, I stamped out the cute little bee from the HONEY BEES stamp set, colored it using Copic Markers, and then die cut it using the HONEY BEES coordinating dies.

Next, I stamped out the yellow pattern on the background using yellow ink and the ZIG ZAG STRIPES background stamp. I then die cut the panel using the outer frame from the SCALLOP HONEYCOMB COVER and I also die cut the window for the shaker area using the HONEYCOMB SHAKER. To the back of the panel, I glued a piece of ACETATE.

I then ran a piece of black cardstock through the die cut machine using the HONEYCOMB SHAKER and used the honeycomb shape to glue on the top of the acetate window.

With the background panel flipped onto its front, I added FOAM TAPE around the perimeter of the shaker window and then sprinkled my shaker bits which included GOLD FEVER  CONFETTI and SPARKLING HEARTS CONF. GLITTER inside the well. To close in the shaker area I used a piece of yellow cardstock and then attached the finished panel to an A2 top fold card front.

To finish the card off, I added a sentiment strip from the PEONY TRIMMINGS DIES that I stamped with a sentiment from the HONEY BEE stamp set and then popped up the cute be in the corner.

Thank you for stopping by and until next time… Happy Crafting!

Honey Bees Hi with Tracey

June 4, 2020 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Hello Cards, Shaker Cards

Hi there it’s Tracey back again today. My lilac bushing are fully blooming right now and with that the honey bees are back too! Today I have a fun shaker card using the Scallop Honeycomb Cover die along with the gang from the Honey Bees stamp set!

To create the top panel of the shaker I blended Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey and a bit of Spiced Marmelade Distress Oxide ink on to a panel of Bristol Smooth cardstock. I flicked some water over the panel and picked up the excess with a paper towel. Then I splattered a bit of yellow gold metallic watercolour over the panel and set it aside to dry. Once it was dry I adhered a piece of Studio Katia Clear Acetate on the backside of the panel.

To create the bottom of the shaker which is the inside of the honeycomb I lightly blended another panel with the same Distress Oxide inks and then I placed the Honeycomb stencil over the panel and blended more of the inks over the stencil. Then I picked up some water with a clean foam blender and dabbed off the excess on a paper towel and pounced it over the stencil. I finished by absorbing the remaining water off the stencil with paper towel.

Once dry I adhered this to my card base and then I created the walls of my shaker using two layers of Studio Katia foam tape. I filled the shaker with a combination of Gold Fever Confetti and Gold Fever Glitter. I adhered the top panel of the shaker over the shaker well sealing the contents inside the honeycomb. The images from the Honey Bees stamp set were stamped and die cut with the Honey Bees die set. Then they were coloured with Copic markers and their wings were highlighted with clear Wink of Stella.

One of the hexagons from the die cute Honeycomb cover was stamped with the word hi from the Honey Bees stamp set and then placed over one of the empty hexagons with foam tape. “Buzzing by the say…” was stamped and die cut using one the Peony Trimmings die set.

Thank you so much for stopping in today and I hope that I have inspired you to make a shaker. They are always so fun to giveaway, stay safe!
