Easy Christmas Card with Laura

Hi everyone! It’s Laura Volpes and today I am back with a video showing how to make a quick and easy slimline Christmas card!

For the card front I combined the Dotted Slimline Set 1 and 2 dies. I ink blended my sky using Studio Katia Blending Brushes and Spectrum Noir Harmony Inks and I created a snowfall with some white acrylic paint.

The main image is part of the Friends of Winter stamp set and for the sentiment I used greetings from the Poinsettia Border set.

I added some Iridescent Snow Crystals to embellish the scene and that finished off my card!

Have A Super Day Card with Dana

Happy Fri-YAY, everyone!

It’s Dana here and I’m sharing a galaxy background card today. Here is what I came up with.

I started by stamping Kobi from KOBI THE SUPER BEAR in black. I colored him in with Copic markers and gave some highlight with white gel pen. I die cut Kobi and other pieces for stars and speech bubble using KOBI THE SUPER BEAR DIES.

Then, I created galaxy background by watercoloring. At first, I lightly painted cold pressed watercolor paper with pink, yellow and purple colors. Then, I layered galaxy colors like navy and black from light to dark colors. After it dried, I splattered white pigment ink using paint brush here and there.

I took a speech bubble from first step and softly ink blended it with distress inks. I then heat embossed a sentiment from KOBI THE SUPER BEAR in sparkling silver.

I mounted galaxy background onto A2 sized white card base. Then, I trimmed down two rectangle strips from white card stock and popped them up using foam tape. I foam taped other pieces as well and finished off this card.

Rainbow color winter card

Hello everyone!

Today I have another winter card to share with you. It’s not a Christmas card, it’s a little note to say thank you using awesome winter stamps and alphabet dies, with which you can create any phrases you want, and combine with sentiment stamps.

To create this card I stamped a lot of different snowflakes from the Snowflakes Stamp set using distress oxide inks. On each stamp I applied 2-3 color of ink, I mixed yellow and pinks, green and mint colors. I cut out snowflakes with coordinating dies and paced them on the card paced.

Next I covered all the snowflakes with masking tape and cut out a rectangle panel using a big rectangle die with a round corners from DOTTED PATTERNS SET 3. To create a sentiment I cut out a word SNOW with an alphabet dies from silver mirror cardstock and I combined it with a stamped sentiment.

Birthday card

Hello everyone, it’s Galina. Today I awnt to show you a delicate birthday card using Birthday Cardmaking Kit and a frame dies.

I used some materials from Birthday Cardmaking Kit. Such as: stamp with a die, a stencil, blender brush, glue, crystals and gliter. Some of these meterials you can purches separatly I’ll link them below.

I start by applying yellow, pink and blue ink on a white card panel using a blender brush. Next I cut out a rectangle window in the panel using – DOTTED PATTERNS SET 2 and one more smaller rectangle from a white cardstock. On a thin frame I applied liquid glue and covered it with chunky glitter.

Next, I applied yellow and pink inks through the Chunky Sprinkles Stencil. This stencil is not released yet, but you can get it with a kit.

I stamped a cake with black ink, colored it with Copic markers and cut out using coordinating die.

Also, I cut out a little banner from a pink cardstock using a DOTTED PATTERNS SET 2 and I heat emboss my birthday sentiment on it. For the sentiment I used small stamp from another awesome Birthday sentiment stamp set – IT’S YOUR BIRTHDAY.

I embelished my card using colorful crystals from the kit. I picked yellow and pink crystals ans they match perfectly my color combo on the card.

Sparkly Christmas Card with Laura

Hi everyone! Laura Volpes here and today I am back to share a super sparkly Christmas card! Stay tuned for a video at the end of this post, too!

The stamp set I used today is the Meowy Halloween stamp set. This was a suggestion I got during one of my latest live streams on the Studio Katia Facebook page!

I used the image for this birthday card and one of the viewers suggested that it would be great for Christmas cards, too! So I took the awesome advice and dressed up my kitty for the holidays!

For the card background I used the Scallop Honeycomb die and cut some watercolor cardstock. I blended Spectrum Noir Harmony Inks in the colors Jet Black, Silent Night, Ocean Blue and Oasis.

I then used the Mandala stencil to add some sparkle to the background. I applied Nuvo Glimmer Paste in the color Moonstone and I set it aside to dry.

I heat embossed some snowflakes and my sentiment using silver embossing powder. Once my background was dry I glued everything to a white card base and that finished off my card!

One Background Three Slimline Holiday Cards

Hello, my friends! Have you started on your Holiday Cards yet? Today I’m sharing 3 Holiday cards made from one background. My examples include a Hanukkah card, and Winter Card, and a Christmas Card, just to make sure I have all my friends covered this festive season.

CARD DETAILS

All of these cards began with creating a simple snowflake patterned background using the SNOWFLAKES stamp set with a gold emb. pwd. onto an 8.5 x11 piece of dark blue cardstock. I then sliced the paper into 3 equal parts and then die cut each panel using the large frame from the DOTTED SLIMLINE – SET 2.
On this first card, I die cut all the letters using the CHUNKY ALPHABET to spell out Christmas. I then used the same gold embossing powder to add some thickness to the letters. Next, I die cut a piece of vellum using the scalloped slimline frame from the DOTTED SLIMLINE – SET 2 to soften the background and to add my sentiments too. I then stamped the Merry from the POINSETTIA BORDER set and heat embossed it as well.

As a finishing touch, I added a few GOLD FOIL PEARLS, and this first card is done!

For this next winter slimline, I die cut the center of the panel using a frame from the DOTTED SLIMLINE – SET 2 to create a window for the shaker card. To the back of the panel, I added a piece of acetate and then created a border using BLACK FOAM TAPE and then filled the area using CRYSTAL STARS and SPARKLING SEA CONFETTI MIX.

On a piece of white cardstock, cut slightly smaller than the front panel I stamped the sentiments celebrate winter using stamps from the POINSETTIA BORDER set. I then closed the shaker window using the stamped sentiment panel and then glued that finished piece to the card base. Once again I used the GOLD FOIL PEARLS as a finishing detail.

For my final Hanukkah Card, I die cut the oval frame from the snowflake panel using the DOTTED SLIMLINE – SET 1 and glued the oval to the card base. I then stamped out the sentiments using stamps from the HAPPY CELEBRATIONS set and centered it over the oval that I had glued onto on the card base. I then glued the snowflake slimline panel in place to finish the card.

As a final touch, I added a few GOLD SPARKLE CRYSTALS.

I hope you were inspired by this snowflake slimline Holiday Set of Cards. There are so many possibilities you can take this idea using different stamps and different colors. If you aren’t into the Slimline Cards you could use the same idea to create 4 backgrounds for A2 sized cards.

Fall Card with Laura

Hi everyone! It’s Laura here and today I am back to show you how to create a beautiful fall themed card! There is a video tutorial at the end of this post, so stay tuned for that, too!

The card features a DIY plaid background that I created with the Grid Stencil and Distress Oxides. I loved coming up with this fun way to stretch the use of an already great stencil – and I love that it can be customized in so many ways!

For the heart I used the Fancy Scalloped Heart dies and I did some more ink blending with Distress Oxides. I chose some blues to create a nice contrast with the warm tones of the plaid background.

The focal point of the card is a die cut pumpkin that I colored with Illustrator alcohol markers. I die cut some Neenah Solar White cardstock with the Pumpkin Shaker Die and then went ahead and colored it. Here is the list of markers I used

Orange: BO4, BO3, BO2, BO1
Green: YG3, YG2, YG1

For my sentiment I used the Trimmings Sayings One stamp set and the Simple Trimmings Dies. I did some heat embossing with gold embossing powder and I finished off the card with some Gold Foil Confetti.

Pumkin shaker card

Hello everyone! It’s Galina and today I want to share with you a fun card with shaker and pretty flower lawn 🙂

I start by cutting out a little dots on a white card panel, I used a largest die from STITCH BORDERS die set. Behind the card panel I adhere a piece of yellow cardstock. I embellished the card panel with lot of flowers and green bubbles. Also I applied yellow ink through sun rays stencil.

Using a pumpkin die I cut out a cute shaker base from an orange cardstock, I colored the thien pumpkin frame with copic markers and on inner peace I applied a dark orange distress ink. I stamped a sentiment in the centre of the pumpkin. I put gold seed beads and tiny bubbles inside of my shaker.

Thanksgiving Inspiration Cards

I am back today with a few Thanksgiving Inspiration Cards. Even though 2020 has been such a terrible year for all of us around the world, there is still so much to be thankful for.

CARD DETAILS

I began these cards by stamping out the images from the AUTUMN BORDERS stamp set (which by the way is currently on sale if you are interested). I used VersaFine Onyx Ink and then heat set it with a clear embossing powder so that I could do some really easy water coloring using Karin Brushmarkers.

Once the images were dry I die cut them out using the coordinating AUTUMN BORDERS DIES. Under each die-cut, I left enough room to add a sentiment from the AUTUMN BORDERS set and then trimmed excess paper underneath.

I then popped up the strips using foam tape and attached them to these beautiful backgrounds and finished them off by adding some pearls. On this card, I used the AMETHYST PEARLS.

To create these beautiful backgrounds, I used the MINI ARCS STENCIL, and I created my own gold paste (because I didn’t have any) by mixing Platinum Embellishment Mousse with a little bit of Solar Flare Shimmer Powder.

Doesn’t the pattern remind you of acorn tops? Such a pretty design and I just love the texture this paste created.

To finish off this card I added WINE BERRY PEARLS. Love how these cards turned out!

Slimline Winter Card with Laura

Hi everyone! It’s Laura here and today I am back with a slimline winter card and a video showing how to make it!
The stamp set I used for this card is the adorable Happy Snowmen – I love this set so much and I couldn’t wait to finally be able to play with it!

I went for a rather clean Slimline card today, and I used the Dotted Slimline Set 2 to create the card base. I die cut some light blue and white cardstock and I glued them together.
