Hello Crafters!
This is Jyoti here from Cardsncraftsnyc sharing a card I created using some of the latest products from Studio Katia.

I started by die cutting a pink card-stock using Small Hearts Mini Slimline Die. To turn this into a border I used another die to cut out the center of it. Then I cut a pattern paper to fit behind the pink border. I used one from the Creative Paper, Black on white pattern paper pack. After that I added Studio Katia Acetate Sheet using Double sided tape cut to fit behind the pink border.
This way you get a nice rectangular window with a border to create a shaker card.

After that I stamped Mom Clear Stamp on a white card-stock with memento tuxedo ink, as I was going to use Copic markers to color the peony image. Using YG99, RV69 and RV66 I enjoyed coloring the peony. When you add YG99 with RV69 it gives depth to the peony petals. Then I added a little bit of highlights to the petals using Prismacolor Pencil in Blush Pink. After finishing my coloring I used the co-ordinating die to cut out the stamped and colored image.

For the sentiment to be complete, I stamped and embossed a Happy Mother’s Day sentiment from the Mom Stamp set and cut it out into a strip.
Once all the elements were ready I started assembling the card.
I created a mini slimline card-base then adhered the pattern paper in the front aligning towards the center using glue. Then before adding the shaker window with Foam tape, I sprinkled some sequin mix. I used Wedding Bells, Cerise Sequins,Rouge Pink Crystals and some Chunky Sparkle Glitter. Finally I adhered the mom die cut and the embossed sentiment strip below it on the acetate.
This finished my Mom shaker card. Even though mother’s day just went by, I can still use this card for next year. I love the combination of pink and black and white stripe.
Hope this inspires you.
Hugs,
Jyoti
