Hi everyone! It’s Laura here, and today I am back with a Christmas card I created with the new Poinsettia Trimmings stamp set and the Friends of Winter stamp set.
As a first step I created my background. I blended Distress Oxide in Candied Apple on some watercolor cardstock, creating an ombre effect. I then used the same Candied Apple Distress Oxide to repeatedly stamp the images in the Merry Poinsettia stamp set. I spritzed the background with water and die cut it with one of the dies in the Dotted Patterns – set 3 dies.
I then stamped the little elf in the Friends of Winter stamp set, and colored him with Spectrum Noir markers. I then used the coordinating dies to die cut the image.
In order to separate the image from the background, I die cut some vellum using another die in the Dotted Patterns Set 3 dies, and used it as focal panel for this adorable character.
I die cut some white cardstock with the Darling Ribbon and Frames, and assembled my card.
I heat embossed one of the sentiments from the friend of winter stamp set with white embossing powder, and created a strip as wide as my card base. As a finishing touch I glued some gold foil confetti using the Studio Katia glue.
And that’s it for today! I really hope you liked this card, and I hope I inspired you to create with the Poinsettia Trimmings and the Friends of Winter stamp sets! Thank you all so much for stopping by, and have a great day!

How cute Laura and your background is gorgeous. Thank you for showing.
Adorable ! Colours are fantastic, like the subtlness of the background & that adorable elf.
