Hello everyone! I’m very happy to be here today. July could not go by for me without giving my contribution to the Christmas in July pool of cards. For this, I used the Christmas Floral Skates stamp and die set using a simple colouring technique.

Here are the steps for this card:
Stamp the Christmas Floral Skates on a piece of thick white cardstock, using a permanent black ink. If you’re using a stamping platform, leave your stamp on it. This way you can reposition the image easily, re-stamp and emboss after colouring.
Colour your image with the alcohol markers of your choice.
Once the colouring is done, position the piece of cardstock in the stamping platform, and re-stamp using watermark ink. Emboss with clear embossing powder and heat set.
On another piece of thick cardstock, place the Simple Snowflake stencil and lightly ink opposite corners. I used Distress Oxide inks in Mermaid Lagoon Wilted Violet, which I applied with Studio Katia Ink Blending Brushes.
Then, over the same cardstock, place the second stencil Snow Magic and apply a layer of glitter paste. Let it dry.
Trim a piece of dark blue cardstock and adhere it to an A2 cardbase. This is to create a frame to the main panel.
Once the glitter paste has dried, trim the panel to 4 X 5 ¼” and glue it to the cardbase.
Stamp the sentiment from the same stamp set on another piece of blue cardstock, and heat set with white embossing powder. Then fussy cut the sentiment.
Place the Christmas Floral Skates at the centre of the main panel and then glue the sentiment. I thought the offset position was visually more interesting.
I used a mix of Magic Pearls and Bluebell Pearls to embellish the panel.

This stamp set is so cute on its own, but the sparkly background and the hint of colour, makes the image stand out even more. I hope you like it.
Thanks for visiting. See you next time!
