Hi there,
It’s Kaja from Kajcyika crafts and today I have prepared another clean and simple birthday card!
Take a look:
I started making this card by choosing the die I wanted to use and I decided to go with Elegant scalopped oval. I took a piece of gray card stock and die cut the oval in the top portion of the card stock. Then, I cut the gray paper slightly smaller than my card base to get the nice white edge.
Next, I stamped the image from Lovely blooms on watercolored paper and colored it in using ZIG markers. I used red and orange for the blooms and green for leaves.
I felt like the image was too bold for my card, so instead of using it as one image, I die cut it with the Elegant scalopped oval. Since this die only cuts the inner piece I then took the middle sized oval from Dotted ovals and die cut it directly over the Elegant oval piece. This is how I got the floral edge around the oval.
Next, I stamped out the sentiment from It’s your birthday stamp set. I decided to go with ombre look, for which I used three colors of red ink. I put the darkest color at the top and the lightest to the bottom.
It still seemed like something is missing, so I used the piece of watercolored image we colored earlier and glued some clear drops on top. I used my scissors to cut around the drops once the glue was dry and this is how I got the floral drops that match perfectly with the rest of the card.
In the end, I glued everything together using glue and double sided foam tape and the card was all finished.
Thank you so much for joining me!
Kaja
