Color Swatch Crafty Friendship Card, Dotted Square Frame, Artsy Trimmings Dies, Lovely Words

Hello and Happy Saturday Friends, Ilda here!

For my card today I was inspired by color swatches, so I thought it would be fun to create a Colorful Color Swatch Crafty Friendship Card featuring the new DOTTED SQUARE FRAME from Studio Katia’s latest release. This die is perfect not only as a frame but because of the square dies you get this would also make a great die to use for swatching ink colors.

CARD DETAILS

To begin I die cut the DOTTED SQUARE FRAME from a piece of Neenah Cardstock. Once I had the pieces all cut out I began ink blending each square in rainbow order using a variety of Distress Oxide Ink pads. See thumbnails below for the colors used.

Next, I glue the panel down onto the card front and then popped the squares in place using foam tape. To the orange square, I stamped out the sending stamp from the JAPANESE PEONY set.

Next, I die cut 3 layers of the Crafty from the ARTSY TRIMMINGS DIES and the hugs from the LOVELY WORDS DIES, stacked and glued them together. I then glued them in place and finished them off with a layer of glossy accents.

To finish the card, I added some ONYX CRYSTALS as embellishments and then die cut and added the black frame to balance out the black focal points on the card.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you were inspired by this Color Swatch Crafty Friendship Card. Sending you all Crafty Hugs!

Until next time… Happy Crafting!

Ilda
