Hello, card making friends! Bonnie here from BONNIECAROLLEE MAKES CARDS. I love colouring on vellum paper! The result is a dreamy, soft appearance with a fabulous bonus … the colouring is quick and easy! Today’s card features a gorgeous stamp set, FLORAL WREATH.
- The wreath was stamped with Versamark ink on vellum paper and gold embossed.
- The colouring was done using Copic markers but any alcohol markers would work well. The colour is applied to the BACK of the panel. The flowers were done up in either RV66 or V09 and the leaves using YG13.
- TIP: Softer colours may not show through the vellum. Test your tones first on a scrap piece of vellum and flip it over to see the result.
- The panel was trimmed to 4 1/2” square and the centre of the wreath cut with a circular die.
- Using two square dies with rounded corners from a nesting die set, a frame was cut from matte gold card stock.
- The vellum panel was adhered to the frame and foam tape was placed around the backside of the frame. The panel was then adhered to a 5” square card base with rounded corners. The vellum panel will sit above the base allowing light to diffuse through it.
- The sentiment was stamped with Versamark ink on matte gold card stock and white embossed. It was cut with the same circular die used to cut the centre of the wreath. The sentiment was recessed in the vellum panel.
- The card was embellished with Satin Blanc Pearls.
