Thank You / Fall Cards | Theme Week – Day 1 with Tracy

October 2, 2017 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Thank You Cards, Theme Week, Winter Holidays

Hello, Everyone!

This week we have a great Theme Week for your inspiration: Thank you/Fall Cards. Our designers will inspire you to create beautiful Fall cards and creative Thank you cards. Just like today’s Thank you card from Tracy – different and very cute winter themed thank you card.

Hey guys Tracy here, I hope you are all having an awesome week.

I am sure lots of you are like me and like to get the most out of your craft supplies, I often use seasonal stamps for non seasonal cards by combining them with other stamp sets.

For today’s card I have used the super adorable Sweet Holiday from the latest release along with Duo Talk Sentiment set to create this fun and slightly different thank you card.

I started off by stamping and colouring the little cute gingerbread image with Prismacolor pencils. I then die cut the image out using the co ordinating dies.

For the background I used Distress Oxide Inks in Cracked Pistachio and Worn Lipstick and smooshed them onto my craft mat and added some water using my water sprayer. I then took some acetate and used the ink smooshing technique to create the background, I’m not that good at this but I love it as a technique and find it so much fun.

Once the background was dry I die cut it using the rectangle from Dotted Patterns Set 1.

I used some Patterned paper from Simple Stories and trimmed it to size to fit the front of an A2 top folding notecard and adhered it flat.

I stamped the sentiment “I give awesome hugs” from the Duo talk set in the bottom corned using Simon Says Stamp Intense black ink and adhered the panel to the card.

To add some dimension I used foam tape to adhere the coloured image to the card and of course I couldn’t resist adding some sequins. I used sequins from the Pink Winter Fusion mix and Magic Mint mix to finish the whole card off.

I hope I have inspired you to stretch those stamp sets a little further.

Have a great day and happy crafting,

Tracy
