Hey lovelies, Tracy here today and I am sharing a stencil card with you. This week is Theme week and we are creating cards with red/white/blue theme to them.
This was actually hard for me, blue is one of my favourite colours but I rarely use in it card making along with other colours.
I decided to do a card using the Bubbles Creative Stencil.
I used Distress Inks in Salty Ocean and Candied Apple and kinda like that you get a purplish tone when they cross over.
Top tip when you use a stencil I have found best way to keep it in place is to stick it from the back as shown below.
I find this keeps the paper firmly in place and doesn’t get in the way of any inking you do.
I used the Label Messages to stamp the sentiment in Navy ink and then used the co ordinating dies to cut that out. To add some dimension I adhered this with foam tape.
To finish off and add some sparkle I used Silver Foil Stars…If you don’t have any of Katia’s Foil stars I highly recommend them, they are great for adding some sparkle to all cards and work well with masculine cards too.
I was going to add this to a white card base, but to keep with the theme I went with a navy card base and I am glad I did.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. Don’t forget to share your Studio Katia creations with us on Social Media.
Have a great week and happy crafting!
