Hello, friends and welcome back for another Olga Moss‘ post! This time I am sharing Christmas cards created using my favorite Sweet Holiday stamp set.
First, how often do you use coordinating dies not for their intended purpose? For my cards today I used them to create a textured background. And I’d love to hear what you think?
I started working on these projects by dry embossing the shape cookies onto light craft cardstock. Then I stamped, colored and die-cut cookies with candies. For the coloring I used my Spectrum Noir markers. Also to complement the kit figure cookies I made a cracker in the shape of a circle. For this I used Doily die from Dotted Balloons dies set. I sponged it with the brown inks and stamped the image of confetti. And pierced holes.
Once all of my pieces were ready I foam mounted them onto card base. I heat embossed “hey, cookie! Joy!” sentiment in white embossing powder onto craft cardstock and foam mounted it onto my card. Lastly, I added several Crystal Rainbow sequins. I think that came out perfectly!
I made a second card that’s very similar.
In addition to the cards, I made little tags with cookies. They came out so cute!
Here’s another close up.
Have a great day!
Olga
