Hi there, it’s Tracey here today with a shaker birthday card using the Craftastic Stamp set and matching Craftastic dies.

The first step was to create a background using the Ink Splash stencil and some Distress Oxide inks. I masked and blended Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Wild Honey, Spiced Marmelade and Wilted Violet Distess Inks using the Studio Katia Blending Brushes. One done the panel was trimmed down to 5 1/4″ x 4″.

The Craftastic mug image was stamped twice. Once on white cardstock and then a second time in black and clear embossed on to watercolour cardstock. The mug and the crafty goodies inside were coloured with watercolours. I added a fitted piece of Studio Katia Acetate to the back of the watercoloured piece.

To assemble the shaker the inside shaker element was cut from the mug and the shaker was built on the ink blended panel from the bottom up. The cup image was cut from a sheet of double sided foam adhesive and placed over top of the regular die cut. The centre of the mug was inlaid into the foam die cut and some Iridescent Crystals were put into the well using he Studio Katia Embellishment Wand. The watercoloured piece was added over the top.

The sentiment is from the Birthday Greetings stamp set and was stamped in black ink directly on to the ink blended background. The panel was added to the white card base with Studio Katia White Foam Tape. This adds dimension especially when you are adding a primarily white panel on to a white card base.

Thanks so much for stopping in today.
