Hello and Welcome!
For this month on the blog, I am challenging myself to make some projects without any stamping. It was definitely a challenge, but I’m excited to share the results with you!

So because these projects only involved diecutting or using scraps, they were pretty simple – which is always a plus, am I right?!
I began by using up some scrap colored cardstock, and just cutting 1/2 inch strips. I glued them down (at a diagonal angle) to a cut and scored 4.25 x 5.5 inch card panel, and then started the focal element of the card.
Using black cardstock, I cut out the frame piece and the two words, “crafty” and “hugs” using stand alone word dies and the coordinating die from the Artsty Trimmings set. I also used the same frame die to cut a piece of white cardstock, and used the two negative spaces to put in the center of my frame.

Then, using that frame die one last time, I cut a piece of green cardstock, and used the two skinny frames to line the inside of the open frame pieces on the black cardstock frame element.
I glued all those pieces down to the center of my card, centering the two words in the two open frame areas, and called it a day!
Join me next time for my next challenge of using no stamps on a card!
