Crystal Delights: Stunning Diecut Sentiment Cards with a Touch of Sparkle

Hello everyone! Galina with you today. In this blog post, I will walk you through the process of crafting a dazzling shaker card adorned with a shiny crystal sentiment. The resulting effect will make it appear as if the word “love” has been beautifully crafted with crystals. Join me as we delve into the materials and techniques needed to create this eye-catching card.

Step 1: Gather the Supplies To begin, gather the following materials:

• MODERN ‘LOVE’ WORD die – Studio Katia or a similar word die with wide letters.
• Matching color cardstock to ensure the crystal embellishments coordinate with the die cut word.
• Strong liquid glue
• Crystals of an appropriate size to cover the entire line of the die cut. I used third biggest crystals from BLOSSOM SPARKLE CRYSTALS – Studio Katia.

Step 2: Creating the Crystal Sentiment

1. Cut out the word LOVE T and apply a small amount of liquid glue to a small area.
2. Place the crystals over the glued section, adhering them to the die cut.
3. Repeat the process until the entire word is covered with sparkling crystals. It took about 5 minutes to create this sentiment.

Step 3: Designing the Shaker Card Background

1. Use the HEARTS DUO stencil to create a captivating card background.
2. Apply pink and yellow Distress ink through the stencil, blending them harmoniously.

Step 4: Constructing the Shaker Card

1. Insert the card background into a Mini Slimline ShakePocket.
2. Fill the pocket with Crystal Discs from Studio Katia.
3. Ensure the shaker pocket is securely closed.

Step 5: Final Touches

1. Attach the crystal sentiment to the shaker card, ensuring it stands out prominently.
2. Embellish the shaker pocket with additional pink crystals, adding an extra touch of elegance.

This shaker card design combines the elegance of crystal embellishments with a vibrant background, resulting in a truly cute card.
