Hi there,
It’s Kaja from Kajcyika crafts and today I have a cute summer birthday card for you! đŸ™‚
Take a look:
Before I started on this card, I knew that I want it to be summer themed, since we are in the middle of summer. So, I stamped out a bunch of images from Under the sea and Shell-ebration stamp sets and I colored them using alcohol markers. Then, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them to give them a nice finished look.
I decided to make a round window for my animals, so I used white card stock to die cut the big circle from Dotted patterns: Fancy circle die set.
My animals needed a background, so I ink-blended two colors of distress oxides together: Faded jeans and Black soot. Before gluing everything together, I added some water splotches to the panel, so it looks more like the ocean.
Then, I cut down a piece of gray cardstock and made it slightly smaller than my card base. I used a white gel pen to add a white line across the gray square and glued everything together using liquid glue.
Of course my card needed a sentiment, so I heat embossed one of my favorite SK sentiments: ‘May your birthday be as awesome as you are’ from Birthday greeting set. I popped it up using square foam.
That’s it for today! Thank you so much for joining me! See you next time.
