Easy mixed media background for a large flower stamp

July 8, 2021 / CATEGORIES - Floral Cards, Thank You Cards

Hello everyone, it’s Galina!

Today I want to share with one of my favorite techniques for making bright multi colored backgrounds, and this technique will work perfectly with water based inks. I usually play with this technique if I want to stamp a large image with florals like – FLORAL GARDEN Stamp Set.

How I made this card you can watch here or on Studio Katia channel.

Card Details

I applied few different colors of distress oxide inks on a watercolor paper. I used: Picket Raspberry, Mustard Seed, Lucky Clover and Mermaid Lagoon colors of inks. I mixed colors with water and added a lot of water drops and white drops with acrylick paint.

I stamped floral image using Floral Garden Stamp set and Versafine black ink. I cut out a sentiment using Cup of thanks coordinating Die set. I stamped a second part of sentiment using a small stamp from Cup of Thanks Stamp set.

I embellish my card with shiny multi colored pearls: LEMON BURST PEARLS, BLUEBELL PEARLS, SEAFOAM PEARLS.

I attached them with liquid glue from Studio Katia.

Have a nice day!

Galina
