Hi there,
It’s Kaja from Kajcyika crafts and I made an elegant birthday card for today!
Take a look:
When making a floral card I like to start out by coloring the image. I stamped out the flower image from the You’re so sweet stamp set and I used ZIG watercolor markers to color it in. I love the watercolor effect on the flowers and besides that, it’s super easy to get nice contrast with very little effort.
Once the image was colored in, I used the coordinating die to die cut it. This gives it a beautiful white edge.
Next, I took the Brush stoke waves stencil and ink blended over it. I used two colors of Distress oxides for this – Shabby shutters and Peeled paint. I used the first one towards the middle of the card and the second one towards the edges. Using two colors gives a nice depth to the ink blending.
Of course the card needed the sentiment, so I used the ‘Have an awesome birthday’ saying from the Brithday greetings stamp set. I heat embossed it with white powder on the black card stock which I cut into a banner shape.
I popped everything up using foam tape and a normal double sided tape. The last thing I added was some Onyx crystals that I put around the flower.
Thank you so much for joining me and hope to see you again soon!
