Hello Everyone!
Liliuska here and I am so happy to share with you three cards I made using beautiful Floral Cross stamp set.
If you like to gift cards that are each slightly different (I know I do), you will find this post very helpful, since all you need here is change colour scheme and you will end up with cards that look similar, yet are different and you will have more fun making them. If you are into mass producing, you will find useful ideas here as well. 🙂
Before I knew what I am going to make I decided to stamp Floral Cross image multiple times on different kinds of paper: vellum, heat resistant acetate, water-colour paper, heavy weight white cardstock. I also stamped not only with regular black ink, but also with heat embossing ink and used white and platinum embossing powder. From all the stamped images I picked three: heat embossed on heat resistant acetate, heat embossed on watercolour paper and stamped on white cardstock.
For the first card I decided to use masking. I made two masks: one for full image and one for flowers only. I covered stamped image and using Light Ray Stencil and yellow ink added light rays around the image. I also added a bit of shading around the whole image.
Next, I removed the mask, stamped the sentiment and only covered flowers with masks to add some ink blending to the cross. I also lightly ink blended edges of the whole panel, so it would have a more finished look. I added few yellow crystals and adhered finished panel onto a yellow card base.
For the second card I decided to make a shaker. I die cut out a panel out of blue cardstock using my favourite die from Dotted Patterns Set 3 and die cut a window in it using die from Dotted Patterns Set 2. Using same die from the Set 2 I die cut a thin frame and a word Easter out of a silver glitter cardstock. I glued acetate with heat embossed image to the blue frame. I coloured the image on the wrong side using alcohol markers. After adding double layer of foam tape I filled my future shaker with silver and rainbow confetti.
For the shaker background I added light rays using yellow ink and Light Ray Stencil. I wanted to add something that would add a bit of interest to the card and at the same time would not steal the show from the heat embossed image. I decorated the front of my shaker card with silver glitter frame and word Easter.
For the third card I decided to play with some watercolor pencils. I love using platinum and white embossing powder with watercoloring. I think it looks much more elegant than plain black stamping. Here I used my favourite platinum powder.
After colouring the image I simply foam mounted it onto green card base and glued word Easter die cut out of golden glitter paper. I also added few clear drops which always perfectly complement watercoloured images.
Hope you enjoyed what I had to share with you today and will give it a try. Have a lovely and inspiring weekend!
