Theme Week | Easter Cards – Day 2 with Rowena

March 13, 2018 / CATEGORIES - Easter Cards, Floral Cards, Theme Week

Hello friends! It’s Rowena here and it’s theme week here once again! All week long the entire design team is showcasing the ‘Floral Cross‘ stamp set. So be sure to visit the blog all week long for an entire week of inspirations and ideas from the team.

For today’s project, I wanted to create a bold and bright background for my main focal point. For this I used Picked Raspberry and Wild Honey distress inks, focusing mainly on the bottom of my panel. Then I splattered some clean water to create a distress look, I trimmed my panel using ‘Dotted Panels/Set 2‘ to frame my floral cross.

I stamped my image in a copic friendly ink and colored them with copic markers. Then with the same ink I stamp the cross one more time and colored it with copic as well.  The image is big enough so I did some fussy cutting around my floral image and my additional cross. Once all my images are colored, I’m ready to assemble my card. I heat embossed my sentiment in silver and added foam tape for extra dimension. I also added foam tape to my panel onto an A2 size card.

To complete my card, I added wink of stella on all the flowers as well as some glossy accent, and white gel pen to add extra details to the flowers. Then some ‘Iridescent Bubbles’ to add the finishing touches on today’s card.

I hope you all enjoyed today’s card and got inspired! Make sure to visit us all week long for more inspirations and ideas. Have a wonderful day and happy crafting!!

Crafty Hugs,

Rowena
