Hey lovelies, Tracy here with you today sharing a card that I had had the idea sitting in the back of my head for a while now.
Co-ordinating dies can be costing, so it is nice when you can use them standalone too.
I have used the coordinating dies from the Whimsical Town Set to create this skyline style Christmas card.
I started off creating the background using Distress Inks and added some white flecks using acrylic paint.
Whilst that was drying I die cut the little houses with some black card, I did try adding window details and it ended up a hot mess, so I started again and just added some highlights instead….you can skip this step. I also used the tree die from the Holiday Village Co ordinating dies.
I played around with the arrangement a few times and then when I was happy I adhered some with foam tape, and some flat and trimmed off the excess.
I LOVE the Midnight blue crystals and thought they worked really well with this night sky look so added some of those for sparkle.
To finish off I adhered the panel to a black card base.
I highly encourage you to look through your co-ordinating dies to see what ones you can create with…you might be surprised.
Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you have an amazing day.

Well done!
Such a gorgeous background on this fab card. Thanks for sharing this inspiration with these fun products.
Gorgeous Tracy and a great idea with the co-ordinating dies, they are often forgotten because you bought them especially for the stamps. So thank you for this great reminder, I am going to look through my dies.
Very cool idea…love the silhouettes
Such a clever idea of stretching our dies!
