Gift Parcel Cards with Tracy

October 24, 2017 / CATEGORIES - Cards, CAS, Winter Holidays

I was recently looking through my box of Studio Katia dies and the bow from Dotted Patterns Set 1 caught my eye, Katia has designed several die sets with bows and they are gorgeous but I always overlook them. Next to that set was my Dotted Patterns Nested Squares dies and I came up with the idea of creating some clean and simple holiday cards using the smallest square die and the bow die to create a gift parcel.

The fab thing about these cards is you can use up any card or paper scraps that you have (if you are like me who hoards them you probably have a ton)

I grabbed some paper scraps I had from a patterned paper pad, this would work just as well with plan paper though and die cut them all using the smallest square.

I also had some scraps of silver glitter paper which I used for the die cut bows.

The case bases are all just smaller than A2 and are top folding, I used Neenah card to die cut the rectangle from the Dotted Patterns set 1 and adhered this flat to the card base.

I then took the Merry Christmas sentiment from Sweet Holiday Stamp set and stamped is on all 3 cards.

For the parcels I propped them up using foam tape and adhered the bows using Ranger Multi Medium Matte in the centre and lifted the bow tails up to give some extra dimension.

To finished the cards off I added some Silver Foil Crystals.

These were so easy to make and would be great if you need to bulk created some cards, they could easily be used for birthday cards too and it is a great way to get some more use out of those basic shape dies.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, Happy Crafting

Tracy
