Hello everyone,
it’s Maria from @a_country_home. I’m very delighted to be a guest on the Studio Katia Blog today. A big thank you to Katia and Liliya for inviting me! I create three cards for today. It’s not a secret that I prefer watercoloring to other medium, it is the best way for me to relax after a long day at work. And here is what I came up with.
For my first card I die cut two panels using rectangle die from the Darling Ribbon & Dotted Frames Creative Dies. Then I die cut one of the panels again with the decorative frame which is included in the Darling Ribbon & Dotted Frames Creative Dies. Next, I stamped beautiful Lovely Blooms Stamp Set on both the frame and the panel. The Original Misti Stamping Tool is very helpful for this. Then I watercolored flowers and leaves and stamped the sentiment from the Birthday Greetings Stamp Set. When both panels were dry I adhered them together using foam tape for dimension. Then I mounted them on a light grey card base and embellished the card with the Cupid’s Kiss Crystals and May Crystals.
For my second card I used again the Lovely Blooms Stamp Set. I stamped it on a piece of water color cardstock with a light brown ink to create a watercolor card in no-line coloring technique. After all blossoms and leaves were colored I masked them and added some ink splatters in black. I used again one of the awesome Sentiments from the Birthday Greetings Stamp Set and stamped it on black cardstock then heat white embossed. I mounted my water colored panel on a dark grey cardbase using foam tape. Then I added the Sentiment also using foam tape. Some of the beautiful Cupid’s Kiss Crystals gives the final touch.
My third card I created with the cute Kobi Bearing Gifts Stamp Set in combination with the Darling Ribbon & Dotted Frames Creative Dies. I stamped the tiny stamps all over a white die cut panel using beige ink. Then I stamped sweet Kobi with all his gifts on a piece of watercolor cardstock. I colored the gifts in all rainbow colors, such fun. I die cut Kobi with coordinating dies. I mounted the stamped panel onto a kraft card base, added Kobi in the middle and heat embossed the sentiment from the Birthday Greetings Stamp Set on a piece of pink cardstock using white embossing powder. I embellished the card with some April Crystals.
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a lovely day!
Maria
