Hello crafty friends!
It’s Svitlana here. I’m so excited to guest design on Studio Katia blog today!
I want to share with you an idea for a Mother’s Day card (because it’s THAT season).
I fell in love with the new Floral Wreath Stamp Set and wanted to put it to use as soon as I got it.

Then I colored the wreath with COPICs markers. I choose blue and gray color scheme for my coloring. It’s not realistic, but I think it looks very cool.
When I finished coloring I placed the panel back into the MISTI and stamped again with the black ink. I did it to make the outlines darker and crisper.
Next I die-cut a circle out of the wreath and fussy cut it using my scissors.

I make a vertical side folding A2 card out of a Neenah Solar White Cardstock and blended the Salty Ocean Oxide Ink onto it covering the whole surface. Next I placed the Grid Stencil on top and blended the Salty Ocean Distress Ink through it. Using the same colors of both oxide and distress inks I achieved the perfect match of blended layers.
To add some interest to the background I added some water splatters, blotted them and then added splatters of white and black sprays. Next I foam mounted the wreath onto the card.
For the sentiment I die-cut two words out of white using the dies from the Best Ever Die Set. And I white embossed a word MOM on black using a stamp from the Best Ever Stamp Set. After white embossing I cut it out kind of following the word shape, I didn’t feel like having just a simple stripe with sharp corners.

I popped all the elements of the sentiment onto the card and finished it off by adhering several Gray Clouds Crystals.
I hope you like this idea and will give it a try. I’m a big lover of blue color, but this design can be implemented in any other color wave.
Have a wonderful day!
