Guest Designer | Happy Day with Ekaterina

Hello everyone! Ekaterina here and for my second guest design post I made a floral card! It features PEONY TRIMMINGS stamp set.

I stamped the image  and coloured it with alcohol nuvo markers and cut out with PEONY TRIMMINGS DIES. For the background, I decided to use LARGE POLKA STENCIL. I like to work with stencils, they add a bit of magic to handmade cards. I used pumice stone distress ink. I die cut the background panel using a die from DOTTED PATTERNS SET 3 and foam mounted my colored image at the top of the panel. Next, I die cut out HAPPY DAY sentiment from LOVELY WORDS DIES out of glitter cardstock and stamped LOVE YOU sentiment from PEONY TRIMMINGS in black ink.

I added a black strip die cut out with one of the PEONY TRIMMINGS DIES out of black cardstock. My most favourite part – embellishing the card! I added some IRIDESCENT BUBBLES – TINY and SPARKLING CRYSTALS here and there on the peonies to imitate dew drops on the petals. ONYX CRYSTALS added the perfect little touch my card needed.
