Be Merry with Guest Designer Nina-Marie

October 28, 2017 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Floral Cards, Guest Designer, Winter Holidays

Hello everyone! I am thrilled to be guesting with Studio Katia today and sharing a Copic colored floral arrangement using their beautiful Merry Poinsettia stamp set!

I have really enjoyed incorporating Studio Katia products into my crafting of late; they are a new-to-me company and I love their creative stamps, dies and embellishments! If you have missed any of my previously-designed cards using Studio Katia products, you can see them here:

The Merry Poinsettia stamp set is super-fun to color and I love how the poinsettias turned out after I used Copic markers to shade them.

Studio Katia has a gorgeous die set Dotted Patterns, which has a large scalloped-edge die that makes a perfect panel on an A2 card. I cut both a sheet of DCWV Shimmer Neutrals cardstock and my poinsettia arrangement with this die so that both pieces had the same edging when layered together (the poinsettias are layered with foam tape).

Around my floral arrangement, I placed a few Silver Foil Crystals; these stunning gemstones catch the light SO beautifully! I also added Nuvo Morning Dew drops from Tonic Studios onto each berries and poinsettia center to give a bit of dimension. The Nuvo Drops also enhance the Copic coloring really nicely!

My sentiment is die cut with the coordinating Merry Poinsettia die set and I used Tonic’s Polished Gold Mirror cardstock for a beautiful, faux-foiled look. The small “be” greeting is from the Merry Poinsettia stamp set and stamped with Slate ink from Simon Says Stamp.

If you want to see how this card came together, I would encourage you to check out the video below.

Thank you Studio Katia for letting me guest with you today, and thank YOU readers for joining me for this tutorial! Happy Saturday!

Nina-Marie
