Halloween Card with Laura

October 4, 2018 / CATEGORIES - Other

Hi everyone! It’s Laura here, and today I am back with a cute Halloween card I created with the Meowy Halloween Stamp Set and the Monster Bash Stamp Set. There is also a video tutorial at the end of this post, so stay tuned for that!
To start off the card I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock, anc I colored them with Spectrum Noir Markers.
I created a color chart for you, that you can use as a reference.

Once I was done coloring the images, I cut them with the coordinating dies, and then moved on to my card base.
I used the rectangular die in the Darling Ribbon and Frames to cut some black cardstock to an A2 size. I then combined the Dotted Patterns Set 3 Creative Dies with the Loops Creative Dies to die cut the front panel of my card out of some purple cardstock.

I die cut a spiderweb from some vellum using the Spiderweb Creative Die, and I added some shimmer to it using my Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Pen. I cut the web in half and used it to decorate the card front, which I then raised over the black card base with some foam tape.   I adhered all the images to my card, and, for an extra fun touch, I glued some Studio Katia Googly Eyes in some of the windows. I used pairs of different sizes, because I think that the result this way is even more fun!

For the sentiment I die cut some green cardstock with one of the dies in the Darling Ribbon and Frames Set, and did some stamping with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I chose the one that reads “Eye think you’re cute”, as I thought that it was a perfect fit to the monsters and the googly eyes.

I decorated the inside of the card with another of the monsters from the Monster Bash stamp set, and I also stamped the “Monster Hugs” sentiment from the same set.

I finished off the card by adding some white highlights, a bit of sparkle with my Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Pen, and some gloss with Ranger Glossy Accents.

And that’s my card for today! As I said at the beginning of this post, I also recorded a video tutorial, that you can watch down below!

And that’s it for today! I really hope you liked this card and enjoyed the video, and I hope I inspired you to create with the adorable Monster Bash and Meowy Halloween stamp sets!
Thank you all so much for stopping by, and have a great day!

Laura
