Happy Birthday to You Balloon Shaker Card by Ilda

So what did you think of Studio Katia’s Birthday Release? So much birthday goodness to keep you making birthday cards for this next year, right!? Loving all of it!

For my card today, I started by blending out some Balloons using Distress Oxide inks onto a card panel using the BIRTHDAY BALLOONS DUO STENCIL. I then die cut the panel out using the frame from the DARLING RIBBON AND FRAMES DIES and then die cut the window for shaker using the larger die from the FANCY CIRCLE DIES. To the back of the panel, I glued a piece of ACETATE and added foam tape to the edges and all along the window frame.

Onto the card base, I stamped out the birthday greeting from the IT’S YOUR BIRTHDAY stamp set using  watermark ink and heat set it using silver embossing powder.

I then added a little mound of the PASTEL RAINBOW CONFETTI to the center of the greeting and glued the top panel to the card base, securing the sequins in the window.

To finish off the front, I die cut the little ribbon from the  SHAKER BALLOON DIE and heat set it with the same silver embossing powder. Then just drew in the balloon string with a silver gel pen.
