Happy Monday, all!!! Laurie here to share my creation for this week! Today it’s all about a shaped card and coloured pencils, or pencils crayons, as we call them up here in Canada 🙂
My stamp set of choice is the Hello Alice set. I stamped out the little girl, the puddle and a few of the raindrops onto some watercolour paper using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I did use my Mini Misti for this, as the paper is textured and did require about 3 stampings to get a good impression.

SUPPLIES:
I use Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor Pencils, linked here to Amazon.ca for around $65 with free shipping! I’m really happy with these pencils. They blend great and they don’t break!! They are an oil based pencil and an affordable alternative to the pricey Faber-Castell Polychromos.
After all the images were coloured, I cut out each image. For my cardbase, I used the Stitched Nested Creative Rectangles. I cut a piece of Neenah Desert Storm cardstock and folded it into a top fold card base. I placed the largest die on top of the folded cardbase with the top of the die hanging just off the edge (this will allow the die to cut through but NOT where the die is hanging over!) This creates an already folded, shaped base!

I also cut the smaller die from the set out of the same watercolour paper. Before adhering my images to the panel, I lightly blended some Tumbled Glass and Peeled Paint Distress Inks for some very subtle colour.
Before adhering my “scene” panel, I stamped the “Hello, Friend” sentiment on the bottom of the cardbase in Versafine Black Onyx Ink.

This card called for a lot of Glossy Accents and glitter. I added some Glitter Gel pens to the umbrella hearts and raindrops. Then added the Glossy Accents to the hearts, raindrops and the rubber boots.

I think this card turned out super cute and I hope you like it!! Thanks for dropping by today!
See you soon!!!
