Hey lovelies, Tracy here with you today sharing a card I created using Pomegranate Trimmings Stamp set.
I will be 100% honest when I first saw this stamp set I really wasnt sure, mainly as I thought it would be tricky to colour. But after using it I can honestly say I love it and it wasn’t actually hard to colour AND it really is something that can be used for so many occasions.
I stamped the stamp onto Neenah cardstock and then coloured using Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers, the small pieces were super easy to colour which made me happy….even though I did miss one, see picture below.
I was going to leave the card plan but I haven’t done ink splatter for a little while so I added some red and black ink splatter along with some white gel pen detailing.
For the sentiment I used a sentiment from the Peony Trimmings stamp set and heat embossed onto some black cardstock, I then used one of the strip dies from the Peony trimmings set to die cut and I used the same die to cut a piece of gold glitter card. I adhered them off centre and put to one side whilst I decided what to do with the rest of the card.
I’ve been trying to think of slightly different ways to mat and layer my cards and decided to go with something that was different, but im so glad I tried. I made an A2 top folding card from Black card and then cut some of the glitter card I used for the sentiment to slightly larger. I adhered the sentiment onto the card and trimmed off the excess.
I then adhered the main piece level with the top and left side of the glitter card leaving a border on the other two sides.
I then adhered it to the card using the same technique and I love how it looked.
I played around with some different gems to finish off and decided to use the new Dark Sparkle crystals and Carmine Red crystals and concerntrated them around the bottom half of the card. I used theEmbellishment wand to help with placement. IF you guys dont have this you NEED it. I have spent so much money in the past on things like this which then don’t work, or lose their grabbing power, or are just a general pain to use. This one though, is just perfect, it has a small metal piece on the other end which helps you push things into place…just perfect. I have arthritus and hand shakes so little gems can be a pain for me but this has honestly made it a lot easier, so thank you Katia 🙂
I’m honestly so happy I gave this stamp set a chance and love how the card turned out.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you have an amazing day.
Happy Crafting.
