Hello Lovely with Rubeena

December 19, 2018 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Floral Cards

Hello, friends! It’s Rubeena back with my last Studio Katia post for the year! What an amazing year it’s been working with such a great company, products, and people. Without a doubt, I am grateful for every opportunity I have had in 2018. My card incorporates some of my favorite things: florals, watercoloring, splatters, crystals, and cover dies.

I started by stamping the large floral image from You’re so Ranunculus with black ink on watercolor paper. I watercolored lightly with light and dark strokes.

I used the coordinating dies to die-cut the image. For the base, I did a light pink watercolor wash on watercolor paper and die-cut with the Halftone Dots Cover Creative Die. I glued it to my white card base.

I mounted the image with foam tape over it and added some white and black paint splatters for interest.

I die-cut the “hello lovely” from the You’re So Ranunculus Coordinating Die Set using black cardstock and then glued the words over the colored image.

I finished it off with some crystals. So simple and lovely! I think I got a little splatter-crazy, but it’s okay. I hope you’ll enjoy creating this week. Happy holidays to you and your loved ones. Thanks so much for stopping by!
