Hi there,
It’s Kaja from Kajcyika crafts and today I have prepared a simple card that futures a technique I haven’t used for a long time. Can you guess which one just by looking at the card?
If you said that I used die to make an impression in the paper you were right! First, I took the heart die from the Fancy scallop hearts die and I put it on the square piece of paper. Then I used the silicone pad along with my diecutting mashine to get it’s impression instead of die cut.
Next, I stamped out the floral image from the You’re so sweet set and I imediately masked it using masking paper that I previously fussy cut in a shape of this flower. Next, I masked off the edges of the square and to do so, I used masking paper from which I die cut a heart. Next, I used Studio Katia brushes to ink blend blue ink from the edges of the heart towards the center. I made sure to leave the center lighter and the edges darker.
Once everything was ink bleneded I removed the masks and colored in the floral image that I previously stamped. I used alcohol markers for it and in the end I added some white gel pen details.
Then, I added the sentiment that reads ‘Just because’ from the same You’re so sweet set. I put it on a white strip and popped it up using foam tape.
The really last thing I added were some clear drops and the card was all finished!
Thank you for joining me!
