Ink blending using a border dies

June 2, 2022 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Floral Cards, Thank You Cards

Hello everyone!

Galina today with you. I want to show how easily you can turn the die cuts into stencils! On my today’s card I made an ink blended background using SIMPLE DOTTED BORDERS 1.

How I made this card you can watch here or on Studio Katia Youtube channel.

At first, I cut out a mask for the tulip image. I cut it out from a masking paper using a coordinating die and I attached it on a white A2 card panel.

I cut out a two stencils using a border die from SIMPLE DOTTED BORDERS 1. I cut it out from a thick vellum piece, a bit larger than A2 panel. I got a two curved pieces that I used as stencils.

I taped my DIY stencil to the card panel and I different inks.

I stamped the image from HAPPY TULIPS Stamp set with black Memento ink and I colored the flower a bit with alcohol based markers.

Also, I cut out a sentiment from the vellum and a black cardstock using SCRIPT THANKS DIE.

To embellish the card I picked ICY SPARKLE CRYSTALS.

Thanks for stopping by!
