It’s Your Birthday – Using Scraps

by Tracy

Hello lovelies Tracy here with you today. I hope you are all staying safe and doing ok ?

I think like most crafter’s I have a lot of scraps, too many if I am honest so I wanted to create a card that used some of these up.

I was going to do some colouring but decided to go with stencil instead and pulled out the Party Balloons Stencil and the It’s Your Birthday Stamp.

I add this weird shape of Neenah left and decided to make it work, I trimmed it up a little bit and actually like how it worked. I used the stencil and 4 different colours of Spectrum Noir Water Reactive inkpads along with the Ink Blender Brushes for the balloons. I tried to ink them around the edges more to give some dimension. I also overlapped a couple. I really like that you get different shaped balloons with this stencil.

Once the ink was dry I used the It’s Your Birthday stamp and stamped using black ink.

I added some white gel details and Then found some silver glitter card scrap with I mounted the main piece onto.

For the main card I have had this piece of patterned paper for a long time now, it had a section missing from diecutting and I couldn’t get it to work with anything, but it worked perfectly with this card. I used SK Foam tape behind the main piece, I love that this foam tape isn’t too thick it gives the person amount of height.

To finish off I added some Silver Fever Fushion Sequins.

Such a easy card to create and uses up those scraps, I also really like the layout.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope i’ve inspired you to use some of your scraps.

Happy crafting
