Make a Wish Card with Kaja

Hi there,

It’s Kaja from Kajcyika crafts! This week our team is featuring Kobi, which means you will get a lot of inspiration for using your Kobi the bear stamp sets!

This is what I made:

I decided to make a birthday card for my nephew who will turn 3 soon since he really loves bears, so I know he will love this card.

First, I die cut a scallop square from Dotted patterns : Scallop square die set and then I used the new Brush stroke waves stencil to make my background. I used white embossing paste that I mixed with distress ink in Stormy sky to get that beautiful blue color.

While the paste was drying, I stamped two Kobies along with some accessories. The left one is from Kobi’s hugs and kisses stamp set and the right one (and everything else) is from the Kobi the birthday bear set. I colored them with alcohol markers and I used only gray, blue, green and a bit of yellow.

Next, I die cut another scallop square from white card stock and made a little hill for my bears to sit on, using Simple dotted borders die.

I stamped the ‘make a wish’ sentiment from Birthday greetings stamp set on a white piece of paper, and used my paper trimmer to make it a small rectangle.

Then, I glued everything together using double sided tape and foam squares.

The last thing I added was some glossy accents glue on top of the cake frosting and the candle to make it even more yummy and dimensional.
