Hey there, Tracy with you today. I hope you have all loved the new release as much as I have. Each and every single release Katia just knocks me down with her awesome designs.
One of the stamp sets I really loved from the new release is the mini stamp set Shell-ebration. This is such a cute and fun set and i love his little party hat.
I’m awful at sending cards, I really do wish i could be better so this belated stamp set is just perfect for me. I wanted to team it with the new Brush Stroke Waves Stencil & Scallop Window Creative Die.
I started off by inking up two pieces of Neenah card stock (one i inked on both sides) with Distress Oxides and once they was dry I took the one which i had inked on both sides and using the Brush Stroke Waves Stencil I rubbed a baby wipe over the top, this gives a nice ink lift look and is super easy to do.
I left that to dry and then coloured the little turtle and his party head using Polychromo Pencils. I then die cut them out using the matching dies and added some white gel pen details.
I took the inner element of the Scallop Window die and die cut it out, added a sentiment to the inside…remember to stamp this upside down so when the flap opens it will read correctly.
I wanted the card to read….Happy Belated Birthday…lets Shell-brate. I mean who could resist that little cute face !
I then adhered everything together onto a card base, I wanted to keep this card flat for mailing so I added some dimension using the March Crystal mix…did you know that Katia now does Birth month crystal mixes ?
And the card was done. SO MUCH FUN creating this and i highly recommend that cute turtle set to everyone.
I hope you have a great day, thank you for stopping by.
Happy Crafting!
